@GotYa55 I sent my spring grades to Aaron Brown.
My transfer credit report was partially fixed this morning. They fixed the issue with my high school graduation date so that it shows 2013 instead of 2019 (wow, i feel old lol). Now I am able to see which classes transfer or not, but it is showing me the old GE requirements instead of the new ones. They already addressed this issue in the email this morning and said it should be fully fixed Monday.
On the bright side, it looks like 61 out of 64 credits will transfer!! I already knew that one class wouldn’t transfer, so I am very happy to see that I won’t have to repeat any classes or add another semester onto my time in undergrad Fight on!
did anyone else get their housing assignment? I got assigned to troy hall
@filmmajorusc When did you apply for housing? I haven’t received anything yet, but I am hoping to hear back soon! I was just on the housing portal and noticed that they sent out some assignments to some transfers.
anyone hear back recently?
@doddlesack yes, are you? anyone else?
@filmmajorusc Hi, yeah I also got assigned to Troy Hall today. I applied for housing on May 2.
@thedude8 That should be a good sign for me then! I applied May 4th, so I hope to hear back about housing by next week.
I hope that applying for gender neutral housing doesn’t give me a longer wait time. I did write in the application that it was just a preference and not a requirement for me as it may be for others. I prefer to just get assigned something ASAP.
@vegastransfer @thedude8 i applied may 1st! it seems like they’re sending transfers to graduate and freshman housing
@filmmajorusc Fingers crossed that I get assigned housing soon since I was just a few days after you! What type of housing were you assigned in Troy? Was it a 2B4P, 1B2P, etc.? I’m hoping to get the cheapest option lol
@vegastransfer Did you check the “Stars Report” for this information? I finally gained access to OASIS yesterday and saw these USC features.
@sagaciousforever The STARS Report will tell you what credits you need to graduate and what credits count towards each requirement you have. To find the full Transfer Credit Report, you need to click “Course Transfer” at the top of the page in Oasis. Under that section is where you find the link to your Transfer Credit Report.
Hey guys I was accepted 2 weeks ago but I had to fill out more documents for financial aid and I’m still waiting to see my Financial aid package. But they only gave me 2 weeks from being admitted to commit to the school but that’s literally today.
Does the offer still stand tomorrow and throughout the weeekend or nah? Like if I don’t respond/click accept or decline on the portal does anything happen?
@vegastransfer I see! I found this from the transfer report.
" To date, college course work, Advanced Placement exams, or IB
scores have not been entered on your USC academic record. See
instructions below for reporting transfer courses. Exam scores
should be sent directly to USC from the testing agency."
How long does it usually take for USC to update my transfer report? Do they have to receive my newest official transcript before evaluating my credit? I sent my official college transcript on Wednesday.
@vegastransfer i was assigned 5 person triple which i wasn’t too happy about at first but it is one of the cheapest housing options ($515 a month)
@ncityusc Have you already sent in your final transcripts? The only difference for spring admits is that they might have to wait longer than fall admits for the transfer credit report to be completed. It’s a manual process and they want to get these done by orientation for fall admits, so we spring admits aren’t as high priority. It’s strange that they would just leave your report like that though. Perhaps they started working on it. I’d tell you the date my report was prepared, but it was updated after I took the Spanish placement exam, so it won’t really be of much help since I took that really last minute before the spring semester started. Like 3 days before it started.
@sagaciousforever It took about 2-3 weeks following my acceptance to receive my transfer credit report. They sent me a report before they had my spring grades, so you should get one soon. Then I had to send in my final official transcript once my spring grades came out.
@filmmajorusc That was the housing option I was looking at because of the price. Troy showed up on my options list, but I didn’t think we could choose graduate housing. Now I’m hoping I get placed there randomly lol.
Hello again everyone! I’m in need of some advice. I’m a rising sophomore at a CCC. I received an SGR last week, but I’m a little worried about a W on my transcript. I withdrew from Physics w/ Calculus I this past semester; at the time of the withdraw deadline, I felt like this was the best decision to make for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, this course is a requirement for my major. Fortunately (perhaps), the course that I dropped is only equivalent to half of USC’s PHYS 151Lg, and I assume that even if I didn’t withdraw from the class at my CC, I would have to take PHYS 151 again at USC if admitted.
I have yet to send my spring grades. Would it be wise to supplement my transcript with an explanation for why I withdrew from the course, or is it better if I just submit my grades by itself and let the chips fall where they may?
I need help!!
I got accepted to USC two weeks ago, so today is my last day to submit SIR.
However, I haven’t heard back from them about my financial aid appeal yet. In this case, what do you recommend me to do? I’ve already SIR’ed to UCLA, and I’m my main factor for attending USC will depend on my appeal results only.
Is it possible to SIR to both UCLA and USC? Should I just SIR to both schools and maybe withdraw from one school later? But the deposit fee is so expensive for USC…
@zettasyntax Not yet, my semester doesn’t end until this Sunday so it’ll probably be a week or two before I can send in my final ones. I saw that someone else on this thread has the same notice, so I think I’m just trying to access it too early on, lol. Thank you.
@vousmeuerz I’m currently SIR’ed at both USC and UCI, so it’s definitely possible. Someone on this thread had their deadline extended by their counselor because of their pending financial aid, but I’m not sure if it’ll be too late for you to do so. I would say that if it’s financially possible for you to do, then SIR to both and wait it out. If not, maybe e-mail your counselor before the end of the day and see if they can adjust it for you by Monday?
