2019-2020 USC Transfer

@Steamedz Thanks! Yeah, I will call them tomorrow and see! Even if I get an SGR, I think I’m screwed because I might get a C in English.

I called USC Housing today and asked about my status. They said that they are just waiting on the Division of Student Affairs to approve my gender neutral application before assigning me anything. They said if I don’t hear back by the end of the week to request to just be placed in the general housing pool.

Hey guys, I’ve been gone for a while so I just wanted to let everyone know I’m still waiting on my end. Had an SGR, sent the unofficial grades today. Going to head down there Wednesday with the official copy because I need to speak with someone about a situation I had with a class this semester, but not sure an acceptance is looking too good for me at the moment. I’ve accepted it at this point because I’ve been looking at other options, but I’m gonna push working to get into USC as far as I can.

Will keep everyone updated. Hoping since they are holistic in the admissions process I can speak with someone and get the problem with one of my classes resolved, but who knows. Not looking too good. This process has been so tiring for me not only with the admissions but with this class problem I’ve had and it’s just gotten to the point where I’ve accepted both an acceptance or a rejection. Hoping since Annenberg isn’t big on this one class I can get it worked out. Hope everyone’s been doing well!

Will keep everyone updated.

@transferusc88 I hope all goes well for you! I had an issue with one of my classes as well but I still have hope and you should too. I turned in my grades for SGR almost 2 weeks ago and still haven’t gotten a reply back, so don’t be too stressed

@Shwchlorine Thanks for letting me know! That does make me feel better

@doodlesack I called admissions and was told to send informal appeal to Ms. Rodriguez. I sent it right away and have not heard back.
@blueskies2day you don’t need to be so negative. To some people USC is something they have worked towards. Even though having another option is smart at this point, I think it is good to walk away feeling like you have done everything possible.

@USCtrojanpls I don’t think @blueskies2day was trying to be negative. Every post he/she posts speaks the truth. Blueskies is just being straight up real with everyone.

@HouseTrojan32 @blueskies2day okay good! i don’t pay attention to names for each post but I’m glad you think he/she wasn’t trying to be negative. We all have the same goal on this page!

Hello, I need names of counselors that actually answer?

@Doodlesack I emailed Adriana Serrano, who’s a new assistant director that replaced Clay Busia for my region, and she responded in less than 30 minutes.

has anyone heard back recently?

@vegantransfer she and bruce are my regional counselours but Bruce never answers! Are you appealing as well?

Admitted FALL 2019
Viterbi Applicant

Hey guys, I’m thinking of applying to usc this fall, but I am extremely worried that I might not get in. Actually, I’m probably not going to get in lmao
Anyways, how high would my probability be to get in? I’m a freshman at a CC, so this is my 2nd semester. I dropped calc 1 last semester so i have a W, but I earned a 4.0. This semester, i decided to take precalc because my foundation in math wasn’t so good, but I think i have a high chance of getting a C. But if everything goes well during finals, I would have straight As except for a C in math, so a 3.6gpa. I also did not do very well in high school, so that’s why I’m at a CC. Do you think I have any chance? ://

My portal just updated. Finally, admitted to Fall 2019.
Andrew and Erna Viterbi School of Engineering - EE

@vegantransfer did you send an appeal?

@USCtrojanpls No, I was accepted to Annenberg for journalism for the Fall 2019 semester. I just haven’t received my FA and I’m supposed to respond by tomorrow, so I had to ask my (new) counselor for an extension.

@vegantransfer Congratulations! Happy for you! I applied to Annenberg Public Relations but did not get in. So bummed!

Hi all, long time lurker here! Just got accepted for fall 2019 today (viterbi), and I submitted my spring grades on May 28th (emailed an unofficial transcript to my counselor). I called the admissions office last week, and the lady said it will take 1-2 weeks to hear back once your spring grades have been received (if you got a SGR). If it’s been longer for you, I would recommend giving them a call, but don’t be anxious during the wait - everything will be okay in the end!

I just wanted to update y’all and say that you shouldn’t give up!!! I was 99.999% I wasn’t going to be accepted for the fall, and was 80% sure I would be rejected, so please please please do not give up hope!!! best of luck to everyone, regardless of where you end up next year! remember that success does not depend on your location but on your mindset and hard work

also I had one B- during my spring semester that had me super stressed about my admissions chances, so don’t worry too much about a bad grade or two!
