@usctransferrr Congratulations! So exciting!
I think admission is going in reverse. So Viterbi is first, and maybe Marshall will be last.
@USCtrojanpls thank you so much! Hope you hear good news soon!
@usctransferr Thank you! I hope to hear back about my informal appeal soon. Such a weird admissions process.
@USCtrojanpls good luck! quick question, what do you mean by INFORMAL appeal??
@usctransferrr was your B in a major related requirement or GE?
It was a major related requirement, but I don’t think it was required to be taken before coming to USC @whatsup1995
Just got accepted today!!! SGR from Marshall, sophomore transfer, good luck to everyone else still waiting!!!
sent in my grades yesterday… hopefully they get back to me fast! im tired of waiting rippppp and hopefully some transfer housing is left… probably notttt
@doodlesack I just mean USC does not take appeals so I consider it an informal appeal. There is not an appeals process. Did you send yours in yet?
sent in my grades on the 29th and still have nothing yet i dont want to call them because I have already called my counselor 3 times lmao
Been almost a week since my acceptance and still waiting on my aid package…the waiting game continues LOL
@Pmilller324 and @usctransferrr, congratulations to both of you!!!
How did you get notified, portal or e-mail?
Hey guys! I recently got a B in Business Calc (I’m a BusAdmin major) and I asked my professor to round my grade up and he said no but he said he could write a letter to USC explaining my situation and performance as a student. Do you think this will help?
Oh, I forgot to mention I got an SGR and I’m about to send in my spring grades.
“The Office of Admission has completed the review process for Transfer Merit Scholarships. All scholarship recipients have been notified via postal mail and the USC Applicant Portal.”
Guess that’s that lol. It does not look like I received one, but at least I received enough in need-based aid to cover my tuition Congrats to anyone who was a recipient of the Transfer Merit Scholarship.
@vegastransfer Any scholarship would have just replaced need based aid so would have done zippo for you and just taken away a scholarship from someone else that is paying for USC and could likely use the help.
@blueskies2day According to their “How Financial Aid Works” video on the USC website, they first take away work study and subsidized loans before going after gift aid (but it does not increase the package as a whole). So it would save me some debt. Plus scholarships are guaranteed for two years, need based aid is not and can always change.
Either way, I’m not complaining. I am happy with my package and do hope it went to people who truly needed more out of financial aid.
nothing again for me today… officially 2 weeks since I sent my spring grades
Sent in my SRG 5 days ago to my counselor and got into Marshall School of Business today!!!
I got in! Yay finally! So happy. I just got the notification now and I got into Marshall for fall. The wait was agonizing but I’m glad it worked out.
