@daniiellesara I called the Registrar office yesterday. They told me the same thing like you that all my transcripts have been received and my TCR will be updated until orientation. Hopefully, they accept most of my college credits.
Long time lurker here, but just received offer of admission. Details:
- Viterbi School Of Engineering, computer science and business administration (single major)
- Gpa 3.95
- International student
- SGR at may 29th -- offer of Admission june 18th at 5:48 PM
- Finished 5 semesters of Community College
Did u guys get in by mail email or update from portal?
Im so tired of waiting. At this point it doesnt really mean to me anm.
Why do some students with sgr hear earlier than others? They even say that it isn’t a rolling process and that we’ll hear by july so it doesn’t really make sense lol
Hey everyone. So I did already commit like two weeks ago but I decided to attend another school. Does anyone know how to withdraw? Do I have to call the admissions?
I sent my sgr more than 2 weeks ago and havent gotten a decision yet
I sent my SGR on May 29 and my SGR was updated. Still haven’t heard a thing. I just don’t understand this process it’s taking way to long and it’s getting really irritating extremely irritating. I literally called last week and they told me my decision was suppose to happen last week. Than I call the other day and ask than a guy answers admissions and says I might have to wait til the end of June. I don’t even know if they are actually working and so many of the counselors gotten fired and I haven’t even spoken to my counselor once. Usc is super disorganized and have a terrible application process. I got a 4.0 spring semester and aced my calculus class for Marshall and my other 2 classes. I don’t know what they are looking for just make the decision it doesn’t take that long.
Does anybody know how long does it take for the appeal decision to come?
Were you a transfer ? GPA? honor courses ?
@Skillslayer24 It is really irritating tbh. I am not passionate anymore about USC decision even though it is my first choice school.
@1290student Like everything else, it can take quite some time. I sent my appeal in shortly after being rejected in late June. I didn’t hear back until mid-August that USC was sticking with their original decision and I wasn’t successful.
One advice that I want to give, is if you havent heard back yet, to call the admissions office, and then to ask for the phone number of your admissions counselor. Then call your admissions counselors. And keep following up with them.
@1290student Since they don’t have a process for transfer appeals and frankly, discourage them, the earliest you would hear, if you hear at all, is mid to late August. I don’t even think they reply to all of them, and many times, student just moves on.
@transferusc88 why did you have to turn in a letter explaining a grade, did you get in and the tryna spring grade Request you ?
@zettasyntax for the appeal decision did they made a portal update or just emailed you telling you? What school did you appeal to ?
If you appealed you should be making other plans, transfer appeals are extremely rare - most years they take none. @zettasyntax is the only poster I have seen that knows somebody that had a successful appeal - and it was not him, but somebody else…Of course good to try, but don’t put life on hold. And realistically assess if you gave them new and incredible information, awards, changes, updates, etc., or just appealed with the “I really want to go to USC” verbage. Have something to do for fall lined up.
Regents is 2500 a year for 3 years, total $7500, I see you figure it out cause you posted elsewhere you got all Financial Aid, not a 30K Regents since there is no such thing. Just clarifying so others don’t get misinformation about UCD.
Go to Davis, great option.
I finally got my transfer credit report today. According to the report, I can transfer 51 units to USC.
For my accounting class, it says:“see department”. I am still searching for the email/person that I should contact.
COURSES NEEDING ADDITIONAL REVIEW:

I think there will definitely be handful of acceptances coming next week.
I called admissions earlier today, and the person I had on the phone said that I should expect an admissions decision for SGRs from early-July to mid-July. I’m not sure if that was specifically pertaining to me or not since after all, the admissions department does ask that you input your ID number before you get on the phone with someone.
I was thinking of calling back tomorrow to see if I can get a different person on the phone and see if they say anything different.
@TheMaSharng Maybe asking your specific counselor would yield a more accurate answer. Last year there were a handful of acceptances here and there at the end of June leading up to July.
