Hey guys, do y’all know how long it takes to hear back after you submit your spring grades? I sent in my grades on the 9th (my school finishes really late)
@hbucket I think the lights have come on and the guy is sweeping up the popcorn, and you are the lone person still sitting in the theater watching the end of the credits.
This thread has been buzzing for a year and is about ready to wind down to nothing so it is just funny to see a new poster jump in now - but of course anytime is good lol.
That is really really late if you are talking about July 9th.
Call admissions or email your advisor and ask, and make sure they received your grades, and everything they need to make a decision. Good luck!
@hbucket I sent my spring grades on the 8th of July and heard back the very next day. Not sure why they haven’t gotten back to you yet
Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop back on and hear all the great news for the remaining people. So proud of all of you!
Also wanted to say thank you so much for all of the kind words to me. It was a hard rejection to take I won’t lie, but I did give it my all and I do know that the main reason was because of the D in my math class in the Spring. I didn’t want to share it at first because I didn’t want to worry anyone who may have been in the same boat as me, but this wasn’t too surprising for me. I had 60 units of all A’s except for the math class, but I had a feeling that was going to be a big problem.
I’m thinking of applying again next year since I am still technically a first year and just holding out and going through the honors program at my school because it gives me a path to at least UCLA (I will have an 85% acceptance rate chance). I’m hoping to see a lot of you in another year or so, but if not I’m super proud of ALL OF YOU and I’m glad to see it worked out! FIGHT ON!!!
@transferusc88 ^^^That is why you should have got into USC - because you are you and that is really great! But ya, D’s are a downer for sure. Love to see you back here, but UCLA isn’t too shabby either.
Best to you - so great of you to check back in, I am sure I was not alone in wanting to hear from you!
Hey guys! Admitted for Dornsife Spring 2020 here, 3.91 GPA with not many EC’s but a lot of work experience, strong essays, and a LOR from one of my favorite professors. Do I have to wait for my FAST Portal to update in order to view how much I pay per year?
I wish USC provided some sort of online guide on how to navigate myUSC. I just logged onto it, and there was so much content to process lol.
Hey guys! I just got admitted to USC last Friday and applied for housing right away and omg USC housing sends me an email earlier today saying that I got assigned to the Trojan Hall. Anyone has any experience with the Trojan Hall? I want the village dorms so bad.
Congrats if you got housing at all - that is great! Not sure if TTP helped you there or not, but good news indeed. Village was full months ago.
Where do I apply for housing? Is it just me or is housing.usc.edu down?
Do I have to SIR to start my housing application?
@gotya55 You should be able to apply without committing. You would just lose the housing app fee if you don’t.
@Steamedz It’s like any new software - just have to play with it enough to get familiar with it. Go through everything - lots of good stuff there.
Has anyone who has been accepted been accepted to the Facebook group yet? I’ve been waiting to be accepted to the group since last Friday.
I got accepted already @seahawksjoe
@ackamucka Are you a spring or fall admit, and have you gotten your acceptance package yet? Maybe I should email the admissions office.
Is anyone still waiting on financial aid? How long does this take? I’ve been waiting since June 25th! Can’t get a straight answer from the office. Ended up paying the deposit because my counselor never responded to my email about an extension.
@madisonbd Did you have any documents pending or did something else go wrong? I’ve usually found that the financial aid office works pretty fast. Did you give the FA office a call? That might be the best course of action as I do find it a little unusual that you haven’t received your FA package yet.
@zettasyntax thanks for getting back to me! Yeah I called them and they said they wouldn’t be requesting any further documents and they have everything they need. I’ve called them since and they just say “soon,” nothing more specific. I really wasn’t sure if it was a personal thing or if other people were having this experience too. Either way it’s been 2 weeks past when they said I should receive it. School starts next month so I was just feeling the weight of the anxiety bearing down, thought I’d air my grievances.
