Are u retired? @CADREAMIN
is anyone planning on sending an unofficial transcript of their grades right now from a school on the semester system? all kids who are on the quarter system who got an sgr sent their grades and are supposed to hear back on Saturday. I am at a school on the semester system and I need to expedite this process because anyone who got an sgr in ttp and is on the semester system will hear back in JULY. can’t wait that long.
@woshua no, just an avid Trojan supporter with several Trojans of my own.
@ttpbaby23 My daughter went to a school back East last year and transferred to USC as a Spring Admit and started this Jan 2019. Her classes got out at the end of April and she sent her grades in ASAP (though they didn’t ask her for them, she did it anyway) and she still didn’t hear back until July. I feel like they admit the TTP for Fall and other transfers as sophomores for Spring. Or, at least that is my daughter’s experience and many of the friends that she has made since starting at USC in Jan.
Not true. Many regular transfers are admitted for Fall. Last year, S’s friend (UC freshman at that time) was notified in April for Fall transfer admission as a sophomore. At the orientation last July, met many Fall non TTP transfers. There were a lot more non TTP transfers than TTP transfers.
@UCBUSCalum that’s great to hear.
is it true that we will find out through email of acceptance before getting the package in the mail? need to know if I should stop checking the mail every day rather than just waiting for an email haha
Do we send grades through the uploading area of the portal? Or through an official transcript?
I sent my winter grades through my school’s registrar @taylort99
@woshua How long did they take to be received by USC? I sent mine in a couple days ago and it still says awaiting. I will probably call soon if it keeps saying that.
@sagaciousforever Yeah, @woshua is right
UW for grad school. I did my undergrad in the same field/major while I was at USC.
@pcctransfer16 I remember my rejection letter quite well. I received a rejection PDF in my portal well before I had a physical verification of my rejection. I’d say it took about two weeks before I actually got the letter and I only live about 8 miles away from USC. Not sure if it’s still the same (this was back in 2014), but it’s probably more likely you’d find out online before getting a rejection letter. It really is just a sad little white envelope. I hope not many of you see those.
Portal shows that they requested an SGR but I never got an email about it, is that normal?
@ttpbaby23 yeah last friday on the 12th, my friend’s portals were updated without any email notice and they received their acceptance package yesterday the 16th
I got my acceptance last friday on the 12th by just checking my portal and seeing there was an update to my admission status. I got my white package the next day in the mail
@zettasyntax Nice! Did you get admitted into Spring and graduated in Spring (in two years) as well?
Also, when do you think the next wave will be? I am getting a little anxious as the day is approaching.
@sagaciousforever remember UCLA usually comes out before Berkeley
@pcctransfer16 I know! But nothing has come out yet. It supposed to be today because UCB will release their decisions this Friday.
Hi everyone! New to the thread and was wondering if USC generally waits until the end of May to release their decisions? Since UC deposits are due June 1 it’d be nice to find out some time before that
@pcctransfer16 it won’t this year. UCB is giving decisions earlier than expected. Lots of UCs can’t keep up. I’ve only heard back from UCSB so far and Cal comes out in two days… so yeah I’m not expected ucla to come out any time soon. (I also visited UCLA admissions office and they told me they were still reading apps)
USC’s first wave came out at the beginning of this month when some TTP students were admitted and rejected.
USC’s second wave will most likely come out April 20 ish or at the beginning of May. However, USC gives out decisions on a rolling basis so it could be anytime from now to the end of May.
Also, just to let you know that applicants may receive an SGR ( Spring Grade Request). If you get an SGR, it will delay your final decision to June or even July. Good luck!
