2019-2020 USC Transfer

@TheCrookedSource yeah. When your decision is posted the checklist will go away and there will be a notification saying there’s a status update.

@whereto2022 ok, thank you!

Does anyone understand how accounting classes transfer to USC for Marshall applicants? I was a little confused by what the website said. If I have taken both accounting 1 and 2, do I then have to take BUAD 305x at USC instead of retaking both classes? Or is it just put as BUAD 305x on my transcript to state that I’ve transferred in both classes?

I just checked my portal today and it says that I have a Spring grade request. I’m a TTP with a 3.88 cumulative GPA for Marshall. Does this mean I am not accepted yet? and do I have to wait for spring semester to end for me to find out?

You need to send in spring grades. You are not accepted yet.

Does anyone apply to Marshall as a sophomore? I am wondering when will the admission release? Hope it would be around April and May.

It’s 5, has anybody heard anything today? I saw people earlier saying they may release more decisions today but like I just checked my portal and nothing has changed. I’m starting to getting worried that I’m going to get rejected. Has anybody heard anything since last week?

None today. We were always posting next week. I think people got mixed up with UC dates or something.

@maheralsakkaf I haven’t received anything from USC. I think from what I’ve seen is it was mostly TTP applicants that got an acceptance. They usually hear back first but there were some non TTP that received a decision.

@maheralsakkaf people just assumed there would be decisions today because last friday TTP applicants got acceptances, but most likely next week.

My really good friend who is in the TTP got in last week and I’ve been freaking out all week because I didn’t hear anything and assumed I got rejected. Good to hear it’s only TTPs who heard back though, looks like it’ll be another week of anxiety for me!

is there a point in time where I can assume that if I haven’t heard anything that I got rejected? I looked at last years transfer thread and it seemed like (for the most part) people who didn’t hear back by like 2nd week of May didn’t get in. Is that a safe assumption to make for this year too?

Anyone know if it’s helpful to send in the common app mid-term report signed by professors to show current spring grades?

@maheralsakkaf
If they request an SGR you will hear probably back around June or July. I had a friend who was transferring from Cal State LA and she got her acceptance around mid July (she did not get a SGR though) So no one for sure can say people will get rejected or accepted around that time. Don’t loose hope tho!!

does every major find out at the same time or is it each week by majors?

@transferusc88 I am currently a prospective USC student myself, so could you maybe tell me your major and GPA? I am currently applying to marshall with a 3.5

@helloimnervous USC’s release decisions on a rolling basis so it depends on individuals, not by majors. You could hear back next week but your friend may hear back by the end of May.

@USCprospector I’m actually applying for Annenberg, not Marshall. My boyfriend is a current Marshall student, but he got in as a freshman for Spring semester so I can’t really give any stats that would be helpful other than the fact to make sure you get a good grade in Calc, like they told him. I currently go to a CC and have a 3.74 GPA. Best of luck to you! :slight_smile:

@sagaciousforever a friend and i both called usc’s admissions office on separate occasions to confirm that they did not operate on a rolling basis. did your admissions counselor say anything on the contrary?

@KarlZ20 I’m wondering the same thing. I had my mid-term report done for another university beginning of April, but not sure if I should send it for USC since it’s late now. I feel like it would help since I’m taking Calc and Stats this spring and I have A’s in both.
