2019-2020 USC Transfer

@maheralsakkaf I second this inquiry, @CADREAMIN or any other vets…what do you guys think?

“is there a point in time where I can assume that if I haven’t heard anything that I got rejected? I looked at last years transfer thread and it seemed like (for the most part) people who didn’t hear back by like 2nd week of May didn’t get in. Is that a safe assumption to make for this year too?”

^^^Based on last several years they do send out acceptances by majors to some degree. Wave of acceptances “likely” early to mid next week (23rd ish) for mostly Dornsife and Marshall. Annenberg around May 1, and Viterbi mid May. After the wave, those schools continue to sputter out acceptances throughout May. A wave of rejections will likely be around May 23-24th. The catch is that between and after these dates there are sputters of individual acceptances for all majors well into June and July. The majority of people will have closure when the big wave of rejections come out at end of May because the majority of acceptances have also gone out by then, but certainly not all. Those remaining likely have SGRs hanging out there. Disclaimer, these are best guess dates after years of tracking, they are in charge and can always change it up! For some, this process will go well into June and July, ugh.

Then the next shocker will be financial aid (or lack of).

@CADREAMIN So pretty much if you don’t hear back next week (for dornsife) its more likely you will be rejected rather than accepted right

@azac123 No. Most SGR people will hear back in June and July. CADREAMIN only means that most straight acceptances (without SGR) will come next week, the beginning of May, and May 10 ish. Most rejections will come May 20 ish.

I have two friends who got admitted at the beginning of July last year and they did not get an SGR. However, these situations are very rare.

So you can interpret my message as most straight acceptances will come next week and before May 20th.

How about Price School?

@CADREAMIN Is there going to be a wave of decisions next week for Marshall applicants?

Does anyone have info about transfer scholarships? I wanna know if I qualify for a merit scholarship.

I am a sophomore student in a top public university with GPA of 3.9… haven’t received any midterm grades request yet… I applied Price

No way! i’m applying to marshall, but my boyfriend also got into to marshall as a freshman for spring semester!

@transferusc88

@jj1999 I think I read on the USC website that scholarships for transfers would be awarded early May.

@atldreamer4 i wonder if they know each other! small world

Sorry if someone has already asked this, but how long do people usually have to wait after an acceptance to receive their financial aid package?

@CADREAMIN Do you know if it is common for applicants who received a WGR to also get an SGR?

@rish68 WGR are common for people who are at schools that are quarter system. Getting a WGR and SGR aren’t necessarily correlated

Given that there will most likely to be a big wave next week. Good luck everyone!

@CADREAMIN would they come out around 5pm PST like they did last friday for the TTP applicants?

@rish68 From a semester CC, I got both WGR AND SGR. Although the WGR was cus i took a winter class.

@whereto2022 5pm very likely. I will say between next Wednesday and Friday, USC will release the next big wave for non-TTP students.

im on the east coast so would they release the decisions 5pm on west coast time?
