@jakecap1123 @ca6882 @filmmajorusc I’m not applying to SCA, but am an applicant to SDA (their “sister school” I like to call it)!! I have not heard anything yet… also impatiently waiting!!

@jakecap1123 @ca6882 @filmmajorusc I’m a SCA applicant too lads. Film and TV Production is my first choice… and I put the Cinema Studies program as my back up choice.
Really nervous, considering SCA is super selective.

@ShawnUSC I can’t speak about USC, but I personally think you have an interesting story to share and will definitely have something to add to the USC community. Although you had a low gpa earlier on in college and some w’s on your transcript, they will DEFINITELY consider and appreciate the upward trend. It shows true dedication. USC will definitely need to see your grade in business calc though, which is why my guess is that you will have to submit a spring grade request. I suggest letting your counselor know that you are taking the course right now if you haven’t already! I would aim for an A in business calc if you can though. I think the fact that you’ve gotten all A’s in managerial and financial accounting, as well as micro and macro econ may give you more leeway than some other transfer applicants, because they probably display better how well you will do in your business classes, but many have noticed that its important that marshall applicants have an A in their calculus class. @ShawnUSC USC is kind of unpredictable with regards to who they admit. I think you’ve done everything you can to prove that you can handle the work at USC, and put your bad grades behind you. Now, just try to concentrate on your classes and trust the process. Do your best to take your mind off decisions; you’re just going to stress yourself out.

Entering as: Sophomore
GPA: 3.67 with winter grades
Units completed: WILL HAVE 52 units by the end of Spring semester. Currently taking 20 units.
Pre Reqs completed: All
GE’s Completed: 7/8… must take 2 at USC
EC’s: student government on college, veryyy involved w college through club exec, committee member, job on campus, also a lot from high school.
Letter of Recommendation: 2 letters, both from Deans of college
Major: Business @ Marshall, Econ @ Dornsife.
*receieved A’s in every class… but a C in calc.
I haven’t received a Spring Grade Request which is making me very nervous. I’ve taken 52 units as only a freshman so I will be reeeally upset if I get rejected
