At the Nats watch party at the stadium! Chilly temps, hot crowd! These have been great games.
@CountingDown I am envious. Would have tried but caught a bug so watching at home. Go Nats! #FINISHTHEFIGHT
Walter Johnson is probably rolling in his grave with envy just about now.
As much as we hate the Yankees, S19 was so hoping they’d beat the Astros. Big Nats fans here but his roommate’s family has box seats at Yankees Stadium. He promised S19 if they met in the World Series, he and S19 could go.
@CountingDown how cool you went to the viewing party! We had to watch from home.
Thank you, Nats, for putting last night’s game out of reach when I could still get 6 hours of sleep.
Is anyone questioning Hinch’s decision to lift Verlander when he opened the 7th so poorly? Martinez could have taken Strasburg out in the 6th when he loaded the bases with one out and was over 100 pitches, but leaving him in obviously worked. Maybe the Nats would have scored 5 more runs in the 7th anyway with Verlander still pitching, but somehow I doubt it.
An interesting fact-Justin Verlander has never won a World Series game.
Still have memories of Kung Fu Panda in the 2012 Series hitting 2 of his 3 HR off Verlander.
Nationals look like the feel good story of the year and I hope they win.
I had tickets for Tuesday night, too, but it was rainy and I just didn’t want to go sit in it. There were 6500 there Tues and 14,500 on Wed. Game didn’t end til nearly midnight, and got home at 1:15 am.
Last call for Metro with line transfers was at 10:50. Lots of people left then; the score was 2-2. The excitement started immediately after.

(if you are a Caps fan, you’ll get the joke)
I can only guess at the joke, but if you have Joe Buck issues, you’ll like this:

Reminds me of the ridiculous rally monkey the Angels used as their superstitious mascot in the 2002 World Series against the SF Giants. SMH. Go Astros.
Nervous Nats fan here. Go Nats! #FINISHTHEFIGHT
Joe Buck sure likes to hear himself talk. I don’t.
Scherzer’s been pulled tonight with neck spasms. Joe Ross is starting instead. Time to pull out the multiple Nats shirts, hat and the red team towels!
Yay, Astros!
Game 6 tonight. Can the Astros win 4 games in a row?
Hope not but entirely possible.
Its a nail biter. And now a review of the call at first.
