Got accepted!! Transfering from out of state 4 year uni

Hey everyone, just curious about opinions. I am an Economics major and I got into Berkeley and UCI. I have full tuition at UCI for Quanitative Econ major and I would have to pay 22k per year if I went to berkeley (living there). Any advice, I’m really struggling with this decision right now, amidst still waiting and hoping for USC as it’s my first choice.
@mill213 I did this so recently that it bugs me that I can’t remember lol. I believe to register I needed my USCid, which you should have available when you check your FAST, and then my dob. Then my netID was shown to me, it was just my first initial then last name, then I had to create a password.
So I think you could access it without having to pay your deposit first.
Do they send out decisions randomly?? or do they have a specific way of doing it

@seabee91 gotcha okay. that isn’t working for me right now but I think it’s because I was just accepted today so the system needs time to process it. I’ll keep checking it within the next few days. thank you for your help!!

@bean01262020 same thing happened to me lol. I called IT desk since I’m the most impatient person ever and he said try again tomorrow and if it still doesn’t work then call them to fix it
@CADREAMIN Yes, from what I recall, mine was incredibly slow. I don’t believe it was finalized until shortly before my orientation in December. I really think they take their time with spring admits. I just checked my old USC email and I got an email on 12/2 stating I had an updated TCR. My orientation was several days later (the 5th?). You might really have to be patient with this one (well maybe more so spring admits).
May I ask what major you applied for? cause I remembered we have the same GPA 3.71, but I haven’t heard anything yet…
ACCEPTED!! - School of Cinematic Arts (Interactive Entertainment)
Junior transfer from 4-year college (LMU)
3.5 GPA but the last 2 semesters have been 3.78 and 4.0
68 credits, 99 if you include APs
No SGR but submitted my spring grades as soon as I got them
Got an interview request on April 7 and interviewed the next day.
3 letters of recommendation–2 were USC SCA alumni which I think helped a lot!
I can’t stop crying. I’m honestly in shock, I never thought I would be the kind of person to get into USC. Best of luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet–this is the final stretch!

For those who were already accepted. What does the financial aid package look like? If you input the info into the Net Price Calculator, did it come out as relatively the same? If so, that would be ideal.

@ON5000 For what it’s worth, I personally found the financial aid calculator to be amazingly accurate. It said USC would cover my entire tuition and that’s exactly what happened. My aid stayed relatively the same too. I even lost CalGrant eligibility somehow, but USC just added the amount I lost to their university grant. The calculator should give you a pretty good idea if you answer it accurately.
