2020-2021 USC Transfer

dorns life as well

@CADREAMIN @sagaciousforever I’m just worried coz I checked last year’s acceptances, all of it was released on the 23rd (on a Thursday) and rejections on the 31st. There were a few outliers that got accepted on June 1st up til July though. I’m not sure why that was the case for them.

@CADREAMIN Perfect thank you so much!! Yes my school does have an articulation agreement with USC. A majority of my classes seem to fully transfer, with an exception of my physics 1 class (strange, it seems like only my physics 2 is transferable).

@sagaciousforever thank you for sharing! really sucks that your first semester ended the way it did bc of covid  hoping for the best for fall! Also, I was very interested in joining a club sports team! Was it hard to juggle club sports while adjusting to academics at usc?

@sagaciousforever thank you so much! LMU doesn’t seem to have OneStop, is it the same as the Registrar’s office?

@hermit1214 I think USC just has the tendency to post most acceptances first and then move on to rejections.

I was accepted on May 31st last year so don’t lose hope. but it seems like USC posted most acceptances in mid-May.

Annenberg applicant here - NO WGR, SGR or Decision yet… Starting to lose hope

@yinhan Yes, that is the same. Registrar is the OneStop that I am referring to.

@poolsideconvo78 Zoom out in your thinking. Try to unlock from all the stress today and look forward to a time of college classes and football games returning. Whether USC or another school, you will make it what it is. This too shall pass - and you will have a great appreciation for simple things we have taken for granted, for the rest of your life! Good luck in your finals. Focus on and finish those, then get all your acceptances, find a rock to sit on in the fresh air and think about where you want to go from that point on. For now, just one thing at a time.

@mapofthesoul I joined USC’s PingPong club and it has practice 4 times a week. However, practice is optional so I usually show up one or two times a week.

You should think wisely if a club (sports) requires mandatory practices.

What were the stats of the people that got into Annenberg? Congratulations by the way!

@CADREAMIN I got asked by financial aid a month ago to fill out the assets form but I haven’t received any decision yet. Why do you think they asked me for it??

Hello,

I’ve been a lurker for a while and just wanted to post. I’m a dornslife applicant (biochemistry) who got accepted today. My stats and info are:
-3.88 GPA
-All prereqs but the physics series completed
-I am taking gen chem two this semester, which is a major pre-req, but I didn’t receive an SGR
-I had two W’s, so anyone that’s worried about that should know it isn’t a deal-breaker

I have a question for you all if you don’t mind. Does anyone know if the waived tuition for students whose families make under 80k applies to transfers, or is it only for incoming freshmen?

accepted dornsife!!! do we get info on aid, housing and everything by email soon or should we start looking now?

Accepted!

I havent gotten my financial aid nor credit transfer sheet. Any one else waiting on those to accept the offer?

congrats to everyone who got accepted today! hearts to everyone on this thread.

i would also like to share that i got accepted into dornsife today. i applied with NO letter of reccomendations and no one read my essays. I went thru the entire application by myself and i can honestly say that it was one of the most anxious experiences ever. i am writing this to share with people that you can do it! all of us who applied are deserving of everything. fight on!

@mlplover69 - IM SURE U WILL GET IN!!! <3 go u!!!

Do people who got accepted today receive an email notification in advance? Tyty

@yjliu I did not receive an email, but I saw others did. Not sure why it’s like that

no news… 3.97 psy first choice nero 2nd. 2 gem chems done, physics, calc, psy courses, bio. i had 3 letters of rec from teachers, all of which i trust and know wrote good letters. i have all gen ed requirements except for one. its just like maybe im the typical person with good grades that doesnt stand out to them at all in some meaningful way
