I got accepted to Bussiness Admin, which is my first choice major. My GPA went up to 3.76 after I got my spring grades.
I noticed the same thing… I thought I was extremely competitive! Hoping for more waves to get me in. My admissions officer reached out to me directly on several occasions asking for things that I would think means minimally they were really considering me.
Anyone’s financial aid checklist disappear before they got their decisions?
What type of stuff did they ask for??

Spring schedule, WGR request, Really liked my letter of rec(Prof had an issue submitting so she sent it directly to my admissions officer). I asked if I had completed certain classes(which I had). the one thing that’s scary is I started college at 16 and took classes when I was 14 during high school that I did not do well in, UCLA had issues distinguishing the difference even after I explained it, hoping it isn’t the case with USC. Like in the last 1.5 years I have a 3.85 GPA but I got bad grades taking classes concurrently during highschool, (took 11 units over the summer like an idiot when I was 14), My first full-time semester I did not do well do to my dad who was the breadwinner suffering major health issues, (I was working 50+ hours a week at 16 while going to college full time). Since then I have adjusted to balance. My ECs are amazing and have a direct correlation to my major as well.

I went to a CC here, no TTP (I didn’t even know that existed lol). Just a regular applicant. I was very surprised when I got my admission. I still don’t know how I got in tbh.
@“UCLA22CogSci/LINGCS” Cog Sci is a small department, there is a chance their acceptances, and other majors in Dornsife, are still to come. Dornsife has over 140 majors! They were certainly not all released today. You have an interesting backstory, hang in there and good luck!
@“UCLA22CogSci/LINGCS” that does sound nice. Did the post your letters of recc to your portal? I had three people send one and I sent an unsoliciated Spring Grades to the email that accepts transcripts (not my counselers) but none show up in my portal. Is this normal?
