the applicant pool got smaller from last year…
“among a pool of 8,800 students from around the world, while turning away nearly 75% of applicants.”
@jdambrosi Where is that quote from?
What was your reason for not going to USC when you got accepted?
has anyone received their financial aid package? my FAST portal says that i dont need any documents, but it also says they did not receive any documents. i submitted both my FAFSA and CSS profile. im anxious cause i have until june 1st to commit and my package is not here. please if anyone is experiencing the same issue dm me!
I don’t know that I see many (if any) applicants that were accepted to USC previously, like @carsf27 above, but turned them down, then apply again the next year and get in.
Doesn’t seem that common, it seems if you turned them down previously, they are like once bit twice shy.
Anybody this year get accepted under that kind of circumstance? (Where you were admitted but didn’t go.)
@millerman63 I got a B in my English course from the spring of last year. I did not receive an SGR but was accepted. So they probably won’t focus too much on that IMO
@bean01262020 How did you access the Housing Portal? I didn’t receive any emails with my USC id or anything and I’ve entered the ID from the FAFSA portal in the Housing Application, but it hasn’t sent me anything.
Anyone else accessed the housing portal without having gotten an email with their acceptance?
@CADREAMIN i did but I also think I had what they would consider an understandable reason for not attending and I made it clear that I turned it down with the intention to transfer once my issues were resolved.
@jdambrosi Does this mean that they are accepting around 2200 people this year?
I didn’t get an email about the status update to my application… is that normal?
Has there ever been a time where someone got into USC after being rejected twice, and accepted for the third time?
my acceptance letter
That’s interesting, because it’s not anywhere in my letter. Not sure what the difference could be
Does anyone know how we access the housing portal? I’m worried I’m losing valuable time and gonna end up without housing…
@user_423289 Thanks that is helpful and makes sense! Well played, congrats!
@SMCMN10 housing.usc.edu and go to housing application portal and make an account yourself using your USC ID (the one on your FAST page)

@bean01262020 Thank you, I tried that but when I entered my info and it said “if a match was found, you will receive an email shortly”, I never received an email. I’m assuming you received an email with a temporary ID?
@SMCMN10 yeah I got that email too and then i just kept refreshing my mail and it popped up. You got accepted right? I’m pretty sure you need to be accepted first
Is there an official acceptance group on fb or something?? Can somebody dm me pls? Thank you:)
