2020-2021 USC Transfer

@WCWSM52 Since there isn’t two full weeks between May 21 and June 1, we have until June 4th to make a decision aka two full weeks

USC gave me zero financial aid…

do any of you know how we’re supposed to know which admission counsellor to email our appeal to?

@nyeoominheelys My Financial Aid portal still says “application in review.” I was accepted Friday night. How do you know you didn’t get any money?

I was accepted Thursday night (5/21) and received my financial aid this morning (5/26). 4:00am EST it was sent actually lol.

The FAST website states it should take 3-5 business days after all materials are completed.

@SlackJack006 it sent an email when the financial aid is ready and you go onto your portal to look at it. Pretty upset with my outcome lol

@nyeoominheelys would you consider sharing your EFC number from the FAFSA? If not, that’s fine! But now I’m nervous about getting my financial aid package and not getting anything…

FAFSA EFC not the best guage since USC uses CSS profile.

Anyone have an idea of when students who haven’t heard back will receive a decision?

@CADREAMIN Oh okay that makes sense. I did try to use the cost calculator on the USC website and I hope it’s similar to the award I actually get.

Second what @CADREAMIN said. My FAFSA EFC was $0, but the thing USC used expected my family to pay $4.5k out of pocket lol. Can’t say I wasn’t disappointed, but my tuition is covered anyway.

@onewonwun this week.

sounds like usc’s is not giving much Financial Aid :frowning:

Do we have the option to decline student loans that are offered?

^^^Yes you just have to pay that amount some other way.

Ok, thanks @CADREAMIN !

Also, does anyone know if we should send AP scores that are 3 or lower? I saw that USC doesn’t accept any scores below a 4 so I’m not sure if I should send those
EDIT: jk we don’t have the option to leave or pick some out lol

Did you get an SGR sometime in May?

I received a SGR on April 28th and my final grades will be ready Tuesday or Wednesday to upload onto the portal. Today I have been hired to work for a firm in the area I am interested in that aligns with my major. Do you think I should inform my admissions counselor of my new position since I cannot add new activities onto the common app? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Will we hear anything today?

@millerman63 email your admissions counselor about your new positions. I let them know about my internship and I think that helped

What’s your EFC?
