2020-2021 USC Transfer

Anyone receive an email from SCA today?

@ON5000 Congrats on your acceptances, that is a good bag of choices. The admission counselors don’t respond to anyone it seems. However, that’s not really indicative of Price so much as it is on admissions.

@NonTradtional I do not plan on getting a RE license at this time. I’m not as interested in selling homes as I am in land development and public policy. Also, I have friends who have RE licenses so I lean on them instead of dealing with fiduciary laws.

@Kozzie, @NonTradtional, @ON5000 please feel free to contact me on here or DM if you have any questions, need to voice any anxieties, or whatever. I went through this process last year as I transitioned out of the military, and it was incredibly stressful. However, it has made this year quite a bit easier for me.

And on a final note, when I hear back I will reach out to you all.

@NonTradtional I am finishing my third course in real estate finance next week and then I will apply to take the test for the real estate salesperson’s exam. At my CC I tried to focus on business and accounting classes and fulfilling all the GE requirements for USC. My second option was Marshall and I completed all of the requirements for both but I would be more than happy to get accepted in either major choice. Real estate, construction, and development are definitely some of the interests of mine as a director for a big construction company in LA. Wishing you the best of luck with the admissions process!

@NavyGuy2019 Thank you for the kind words and thank you for your service!

Dornsife Applicant here! I currently attend a four-year university centered in Cali studying Political Science & Business. I still haven’t received an SGR! I know that it isn’t indicative of my admissions, but I’m particularly holding my breath this week!

wait i don’t remember it ever asking me what school I wanted to apply to at USC, is there a way to find out?

@hermit1214 Nope! Did you?

Go back and look at your common app where you select what your first and alternate major choices are! Let me know if you have any questions @tomnooksacrook.

Thank you!! I chose psychology as my major and unfortunately no alternate major. I did put a pre-professional emphasis on pre-teaching.

@Dudu123456 Yes, they were just asking for a look at my in-progress classes/grades for spring. Technically, it wasn’t an SGR because I had to email it to them directly.

@hermit1214 Have other transfers from SCA department heard back yet?

@Dudu123456 Yes. I know one other person here that received an email from SCA admissions, and she received it a few days ago. So maybe yours will come in a few days as well.

Did you receive an interview?

@hermit1214 No, I unfortunately have not as of this moment!

@Dudu123456 I wouldn’t worry about the interviews or SGR’s if I were you. A lot of people get accepted without any of those two, and there are also a lot of people that get interviews but do not get accepted. Keep your head up!

I applied for dornslife. I have around 80 hrs all As. I stopped school for due to unavoidable circumstances and resumed to finish an associates (different degree track then originally planned). I don’t know how bad this will hurt me. I have had no grades request, communication, and haven’t had the scholarship email like some people. I feel quite anxious.

Have someone been asked for a lot of forms from the financial aid office? Because they asked me for a lot of forms and I haven’t hear from any decision yet.

Any SDA transfers hear anything back yet?

are you at a disadvantage coming from out of state for transfer?

@laka12g You’ll hear back from the financial aid office after you’ve heard back from admissions. It takes about a week from the time you receive your acceptance letter (this is what I heard last year).

Did anything happen last week to the portals of the people who were accepted prior to the acceptance?
