2020-2021 USC Transfer

anyone know when thornton decisions usually come out? i never hear about that and ive searched everywhere

I know the financial aid stuff like extra documents doesn’t hint that you will get an acceptance because it happened to me in high school and got rejected . I think it is when they just need more info.

They are completely separate from each other. They are requesting more documents for your financial aid because they need more information to determine what your financial aid package might look like.

However, it is not indicative of your probability to get an admissions offer. So, to put it simply: it isn’t a good or bad sign, it is completely irrelevant to the admissions process.

Just found out an animated film I did as a group project last semester got into a small film festival, would it be worth letting USC know? And if so how would I contact them?

Yes mine says that too

I got a Spring Grade Request last Friday, but it still doesn’t show up on my portal…Anyone else have this problem?

@nbrewer I was wondering the same thing! I got an SGR today and it’s not on my portal.

Don’t worry! I received an SGR last week and it didn’t show up on my portal until 2 days ago. It takes time for things to show up on your portal!

@mlplover69 My email asked about my extracurriculars, classes, and why I want to be as USC. At first, I was not sure if it was a spam email because I didn’t think that admissions counselors took the time to email applicants individually

I got a SGR but I don’t have my final spring grades. What do I do because the semester doesn’t end until June.

anyone else on here apply to roski?

I never noticed this until today but did anyone else have a copy of their official college transcript uploaded to their portal (presumably by an admissions officer)? This copy WASN’T uploaded by me and was done at 04/22/2020 at around 9 PM PST.

My official transcript shows under uploaded documents on 2/7/20 so I think it’s just when they processed it into your actual file.

My official transcript shows under my uploaded documents three times—1/30/20, 2/04/20, and 4/22/20. I resent my transcript (the one they received on 2/04/20) since I had changed my class schedule. My regional officer/advisor emailed me earlier this month confirming that they received it (they responded to a two month old email of me asking). It’s weird to see that they would upload another copy of my transcript though.

When eventually submitting your SGR should you just upload a screenshot of your grades from Canvas or should you wait it out until they appear on your school’s actual transcript portal website

No, it’s better to order a pdf transcript and have it sent to you and then upload that as an unofficial transcript.

When do you guys think the next wave of decisions will come?

@sunnywithachance i’m in the same boat as you!! The admissions officers understand that each student has different scheduled terms for the Spring semester. With that said, it is perfectly fine to submit updated final spring grades once the semester is over. From my understanding, you can upload a screenshot of your updated grades from a transcript, and send that info to both your admissions counselor and upload it on the portal. Thus, you can let them know for sure that you have sent final spring grades and it will expedite the admissions process. Hope this helped:))

@py9877201162 thank you for your help! I found who my admissions counselor is, but I don’t see a direct email that I can contact him with. How did you email them directly?

i haven’t heard back from USC at all since February when I submitted my application. should I be worried?
