@ejordan02 What’s done is done so let it ride. Maybe you will get “a pass” on taking it pass fail with the whole Covid thing. I wouldn’t call attention to it by emailing them as they will want to know why. Just saying “hey I did this” doesn’t make sense. And of course no one should say they took a class P/F because professor was bad. A good student should be able to overcome a bad professor and/or it is never good to blame someone else for one’s shortcomings. (Tossin’ in a little life lesson there.) It’s such a crazy year, many things are going to be as suspect this year as they might normally. Your overall record from a great school sounds good, you’ll be ok with that change.
Do people who got SGR/WGR late hear back later than others? I got my WGR last weekend and assume my decision won’t come out until maybe next week because they literally have a week to receive my transcript and make a decision? lol everything’s just making me crazy
@yjliu They have until May 31st to either make a decision or send a SGR so they’ll have more than just a week to process it. SGR people tend to hear back later tho, but it depends on when they finish their spring term and send in their grades.

@OJJJJJJJJBK yeah I submitted Duolingo, but on the website, they told If the score is not enough, I should take English classes at the USC institution
Then if you are a strong enough candidate, you should be fine. USC asks for a 20 minimum score on each of the 4 sections on the TOEFL. I am not sure if Duolingo is a valid English proficiency exam.

Does USC send SGR for only sophomore transfer student?

Today is USC’s freshmen acceptance day. USC uses this to determine how many transfer applicants to accept. There is likely to be a small wave today from the larger schools at USC. However, I would expect a huge wave next week from all schools.
Another thing to note, USC does not send out rejections until the end of May. They will only be sending out acceptances for the next 2-3 weeks.
