Got into UCB as well but declined. At the moment its between UCD and UCSD, didn’t see an acceptance to the latter coming but the aid package is pretty nice. Still waiting on a few high reaches. Good luck everyone!

So weird, my aid package at UCSD was way lower than UCB. Even UCLA’s aid package was super low compared to UCB. It’s looking like UCB for me unless Stanford comes in CLUTCH ?
@snakejyder I honestly have no idea what goes on with the calculation of UC aid. UCD was better than UCSC by like $9k, UCSD is better than UCD by like $4k, idk about UCB since I knew I wasn’t getting Regents so wasn’t worth checking lol But all of them are using the same information so ? Mind boggling.

@snakejyder So far still waiting on Georgetown, Duke and Vanderbilt but those are unlikely so currently focusing on acceptances. Georgetown and Duke should send decisions by end of next week, Vanderbilt who knows. Rejected by Chapel Hill but sent an appeal letter, which is like the same odds of a Stanford acceptance but spoke with an admissions counselor who suggested appealing so figured why not. Are you still waiting for other decisions?

At this point the last one I am waiting for is Stanford. And if not Stanford, looking like it’ll be Berkeley. I’m finding it hard to justify anywhere else because of their aid offer!
@snakejyder same here! I got a pretty good aid offer from Berkeley, and I’ve always loved UCB so its most likely going to be Berkeley for me. I got into UCLA today but Cal is so appealing to me and I love the bay area. I’m happy going there, I just want to know if I’ll get lucky with Stanford! Hopefully they admit more transfers this year. Yes I’m completely happy with going to UCB! I guess we’ll see what happens here in the next few weeks… cross our fingers!
To find out that Stanford might be accepting ~70 transfer students this year (check pg. 2 on this thread) makes the wait even more excruciating because it almost feels like just maybe I could be one of the lucky ones !! but seconds after I’m reminded by the sobering thought that it’s still a 2% acceptance rate and I’ll likely be one of the 98% lmao
@hsc927 Well 70 acceptances would put the rate a little closer to 5%, so I guess there’s a little more hope lol.
For Fall 2019, they had 2,466 transfer applicants and Stanford only accepted 24.
I really hope the rumour about 75 transfer spots this year is true!
The statistics are so absurd when when the actual numbers are provided lol
Do we know where this rumor of 75ish transfer slots is coming from?
I think because it’s usually around 30 -35 and people are saying that the transfer acceptance rate is going to double this year.

I had a dream two nights ago that the dean called me to personally tell me I was accepted and that I had written the best application they’ve ever seen… needless to say I was devastated when I woke up
@dunnowheretogo Y’all are having some interesting dreams lol. I had one a few days ago where I was in my portal and it said “Status Update”, but I woke up when I clicked the button lmao.
