^^^^ @rockymtnhigh2 are those black or green olives? I don’t think I’ve seen snack packs!
Green. The spicy ones are not that spicy. Both are great. We put them in sauces, pizza, pasta, etc. with plenty in one oz for cooking.
Fever Tree also makes excellent varieties of tonic water. Their flavors are wonderful. Not sure if they’re at Costco but one can hope.
Wow I wish our Costco has those! So jealous!
Voltaren cream!! Brand name, OTC. 3 tubes for $40. That is 1/2 price of the prescription generic.
Just got DH a new curved gaming monitor. Finally got it yesterday after it was delivered to the wrong house. He hasn’t set it up yet.
I had the most delicious gin and tonic at a neighbor’s. She used the fever tree tonic water. I ordered my own from amazon but I could order it from Walmart also for the same price. She bought hers at Walmart but my local store is out at the moment.
You are correct. It is not diabetic friendly and I didn’t mean to imply that . When I said ‘soda’ I was thinking typical sodas such as coke, mountain dew etc. That said, H does not drink soda either, I purchased it for emergency purposes (not clear from my post) - but I drank it!
Fever tree makes a light tonic water and light ginger beer. I know the tonic water is 30 calories per bottle, I think the ginger beer is the same but I’m not as sure of that.
Oh noooo…
RIP, Costco sheet cake. You were the best grocery store cake I’ve met. The one with cream cheese frosting ?.
This makes me sadder than it ought to.
@dragonmom - I know! To me, that is like the end of an era. I bet many posters here celebrated their kids’ end of season activities with those cakes. Baseball teams, summer swimming leagues, kindergarten graduation… you name it.
People on our more affluent neighborhood FB group were irate about this. And yes, irate because they were counting on getting one for their planned big get together - graduation or whatever - this summer.
Do you think that IS the reason Costco has halted these? Their way of discouraging or contributing to large group celebrations? Because honestly, most things are Costco ARE larger quantities and perhaps conducive to large group get togethers.
Personally I say if you just love the cake why not just get two of the 10 inch rounds?? Do they taste as good??
^^^"The reason? It’s reportedly due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as large-scale events are postponed or canceled and in a response to customer comments on Facebook, the New York Times reports. “To help limit personal contact and create more space for social distancing, Costco has reduced service in some departments … At this time, we are not making sheet cakes for special order,” the company said.
“Instead, there will be round 10-inch cakes that Costco says better resonate with members.”

Let’s hope this is temporary. Costco cakes are a tradition at work.
Oh I HOPE they come back!!
And for non-food- Costco has the newer Digital Cuisinart Air fryer/toaster oven for a lot less than the equivalent model (65) in the higher end stores. Now, if it only came with a personal chef to cook food using it…
Again, why not just get the 10" rounds unless they are a different recipe??
Actually, we always found there was way too much cake when we had the sheet cakes. Two smaller rounds sound like they would work better for most of the gatherings I’ve attended (except when 100s were present). I guess folks could get their sheet cakes from Sam’s, unless those aren’t available there either?
Of course there was too much cake with the sheet cakes!! That’s how you knew you got a great deal. Then when everyone’s gone and gone to bed you can go down and have more and no one would notice, since there was so much cake! Sigh ???
Too much cake? What does that mean?
