no worries, thank you!! (at least u help me find the link to housing)
Anytime dude! Good luck
Iād like to continue to communicate with the people who havenāt heard, I know people are very excited who got in, but there are some who still donāt have a decision. Letās keep that communication open so we can continue to support each other.
Yes, you must complete 64 units at USC. I was in the very same position. I was coming in with 100 units (which of course were capped at 64). I needed to complete my language requirement so I could have done that at a CC, but I wanted to see what a Spanish class at USC might be like. I sadly just bummed around the house during the fall. I did try to look for a part-time job, but by the time I got an offer, I had already started classes. Iām not sure about your TTP school suggestion and if that would count as part of the 64 USC units you need. Study abroad would count as in-residence units, but you canāt apply for their programs without a USC GPA. Itās pretty tricky stuff. Iād reach out to admissions and ask, but they might suggest working or trying to get an internship. Thatās what mine told me. Maybe things have changed or theyāre slightly flexible because of covid.
Just to confirm, classes will be in person for Fall 2021 right?
I hope we hear back during the weekend or Monday at most! Iām too impatient at this point lol
Seriously! Just donāt get it.
it just annoys me because my SGR disappeared completely off of my checklist on Wednesday and I was told that my decision is ready, my AO also told me I will hear back by the 31st. But also, now that I think about it pretty much all people with SGRs (those who submitted early/had them disappear) havenāt heard back either. Makes me think we have a special day for decisions?
yes!
Yes they are committed to fall in person.
@CADREAMIN @zettasyntax Would you guys be willing to provide insight on how I should rank on my housing application? Iām an incoming junior to Marshall and Iād ideally like a single but Iām open to roommates. Just not sure how to approach this, no one in my household has gone to college before lol
Good morning my fellow Trojans!
Accepted yesterday 5:16 on the dot got an email, Fall 2021, Political Science, Pre Law, legacy but not ttp
IāM SO EXCITED GUYS letās gooooooooo
Good morning yaāll,
I just checked my portal and I was rejected for Marshall as an incoming junior. I am heartbroken and in the same position I was last year when I was rejected haha
I had a 4.0, with all the major prep done with around 70ish units, really strong essays, and since I capped out with my units, I took the job that was offered at my internship as an assistant designer and basically spent the whole year working in the area of business that I want to enter. It was USC or bust for me so there is not other educational option for me for the next year. When I was rejected last year, I wrote an appeal which was denied, decided to reapply, and I even asked my AO for a zoom call back in January talk about strengthening my essays this year. Not gonna lie, even though I was prepared for a rejection, it still really shocked me and disappointed me. Anybody that has any experience with this, do you have any advice for me? Meaning is it worth pursuing USC at this point?
Yeah USC is way too expensive Iām not going to commit.
Most decisions, appeals etc. after this point, seem to typically get pushed to Spring admission at best, which is hard for housing.
Itās either going to be UCLA UCSD and CAL.
Iām sorry to hear that you got rejected. If USC is your top choice it wouldnāt hurt to appeal. However, I would add more safeties the next application cycle. Thereās always grad school!
Those arenāt bad options! UCBās Haas was my top choice but I failed my interview apparently.
Is it bad to attend a 269-390 ranked school instead when you know you got into USC?
I assume because youāll expect your aid wouldnāt be good? Marshall gives lots of oppurtunities in business so I think itās worth potential debt (to a reasonable extent ofc)
