I have a feeling us 3 will hear back after this weekend, it would be our 2-3 week mark for when we submitted our SGRs
Iām hopeful that my daughter is admitted. Weāre part of the SGR crew but hers didnāt disappear.
See, I have multiple āSGRā listed bc of midterms, a college class that I took on HS that I forgot all about and the final spring grades that all gor submitted as SGRs.
that shouldnāt be a problem, I had to add a document that included some of my updated ECs and they told me to choose any option from the drop down list, they said they donāt care what option I pick because they are going to open it anyways. so donāt worry
when did your daughter submit her SGR? best of luck to her!
Ya no chance anything on Monday. And yes, Thursday and Friday pattern out the window from here on. They will start sending out results to a few or even just one on any given day. Good luck all! Hang in there.
5/18 and best of luck to you as well!
thank you so so much! I really appreciate your continuous help throughout the past couple months :)) do you think I might hear back a little later (Iām viterbi) because they want to see who commits and who doesnāt? and based on that they can fill the empty spots?
Hey guys I hope everyone was able to make it into their dream school. If you didnāt it is not the end of the world. You Guys can be truly great anywhere that you go.
USC admissions update: ACCEPTED to Viterbi School of Engineering for Biochemical engineering for Spring 2022.
TTP: I did not do trojan transfer plan.
Entering as: Junior
GPA: 3.97
Units Completed: 108 ( This is too many credits that werenāt needed to transfer btw, only 60 are needed.)
ECās: not much so I wonāt list them. ( they did not benefit me from getting in, lets put it that way.)
Job Experiences: working as a boat driver, instructor and assistant manager at a watersports company. worked as a server and host. currently working as a medical transporter at a hospital.
Essays: I chose āunderstanding meā, and talked about how my life has changed completely from transitioning into community college, how ive grown as a person from being a lazy, unmotivated student in high school with an overall GPA of 3.1, to basically finding a deep desire to do great things, which translated in my work ethic in community that allowed me to achieve a 3.97 with just one B from an English class that was given in my first semester of community college.
WHY USC? I basically talked about how I love USCās devotion to developing students with interdisciplinary skills.
Letters of REC: None
Other schools I applied to were:UCSB,UCI,UCSD, UCR and UCLA. I got into UCSB,UCSD for my alternate major, Chemistry, and UCR for chemical engineering. I got denied to UCLA and UC Irvine.
My top school was UCSD, since I live close and I could commute, but I wasnt hyped about getting in for my alternate major.
I am very fortunate and grateful that I got into such an amazing school like USC. I honestly did not expect to get in, let alone with my first major, Engineering.
Share your story with me, I would really love to know!
Should I also send them a document pdf of my SSN? As well as call on Tuesday
Is it only me that canāt login/register for housing?
My create login/password thing doesnt work jeez
hmm. I donāt know because that could POSSIBLY be the reason your FAST is looking like that. it wouldnāt hurt honestly. can you access your required documents?
Is anyone considering appealing?
Iām in a discord server for USC applicants and quite a lot are considering appealing
I thought it was only a few people damn.
that should not push you away from wanting to appeal if you really believe USC is the place for you! donāt worry
I heard decisions hardly get overturned but itās worth giving it a shot. We never know. I feel like I worked so hard for USC that I canāt give up. If we have one final chance by appealing, then it is all or nothing!
good luck! I really hope it works out for you :)) I know how hard rejection from be, specially from a school you worked so hard for
Thank you. Iām also going to email my admissions counselor once I upload the appeal. I feel like I did leave a few important things out of my original application that could potentially help me get me in. Hopefully they reconsider me and let me in!
