I’m only assuming your SSN hasn’t been linked to your profile (hence why your FAFSA wasn’t linked) since that’s what happened to me. but honestly just wait till Tuesday. their offices open at 9, you can call first thing in the morning! it’s not like they’re going to be working on any packages before then anyways

Would USC take notice of my acceptance there for undergrad if I apply for grad school there in the future? Or do I have the same chance as everyone else? Also, grad school acceptance rate is low like the freshman rate, I thought it might be higher but nope :zipper_mouth_face:

That’s exactly what’s happening to me! I typed in my email and my usc ID and it said I’d get an email with a link to let me into the housing portal and I never got it!!

It’s not auto generated - it usually takes 24-48 hours and now its a holiday weekend
at this point in applying, it really won’t make a difference if another few days

Its comforting knowing Im not the only one having an issue with the housing portal email.

Correction: It’s not an issue, apparently it’s autogenerated and takes a bit of time. Either way, I need it asap lol

The second that email drops im cracking my knuckles and speed running my application

I am a freshmen with 3.7 GPA and was on the Dean’s List at my college and was asked for my spring grades by USC. I am currently waiting for my transcripts to be sent to me. Should I be worried about them sending me an “update” prematurely before I can send in my grades/the deadline of 7/1.

I would email your admissions officer and let them know you are still waiting for your spring grades and that you will submit them to USC as soon as you get them. :slight_smile:

You guys understand you should be looking at outside housing, right? They have already told several groups that they are unlikely to get housing and if they try to plug transfers in ahead of them, they would have a big issue
point being, housing is even tighter than usual so have a plan, don’t be scrambling when they tell you in late July or August that there is no housing, it happens
they have freshman and an entire soph class that wants housing since they weren’t there last year and they are guaranteed. Normally a lot of sophs live off campus (but not this year), so it is gonna put a bigger squeeze on anyone after them this year.

So just be prepared.

Are any spring admits considering living near campus for fall and taking online classes elsewhere or something? I was wondering if that is common or would be beneficial at all to better assimilate and get to experience game days etc.

If I’m a transfer can I room with non transfers who are already undergrads at USC living on campus next fall? I know some people already at USC who need a 4th roommate at the village but idk if I would be allowed to because I’m a transfer.

A lot of people do that and meet lots of people before they technically start.

Gateway (or the other big complexes right next to campus) is an option students use.

It’s more of a priority thing than transfer thing - their housing is already assigned and that 4th room mate will be/has been plugged in with their same prioirty. They can’t “save the spot.”

Hey all you housing hopefuls,
Give the housing office a call on Tuesday and just ask them what your chances are for housing this fall - they are straight up the nicest people that answer phones at USC (and they always answer the phone). Seriously, very kind and they keep it real. If there is a shot, they will tell you, if not, they will tell you.

It’s such a crazy year with all the adjustments, I think it would be best to hear it from them. They may have new info or updates. And report back, please, so we all know, thanks in advance!

Congrats to future Trojans who were admitted this week!
Does anyone know if Spring admits got their acceptance envelopes this year? How long do those take to arrive? I cant wait to share with my parents aboard back in my home country!
