2021-2022 USC Transfer

I think it may take up to a week for them to process financial aid. But I believe it’ll be on the portal as well

Assuming your file is complete, FA is generally 3-7 business days after acceptance. It shows up on FAST section of your portal and they send email saying it is ready to review.

Hey guys, I received my admin on Monday the 24th and I still haven’t received my FA. Should I be concerned? Should I contact someone considering I have June 1st to commit.

why do you only have June 1st to commit? or do you mean you have another option which is due June 1st

Do you know if USC let’s students know why they weren’t admitted if we ask?

um in my usc admin letter it says “you must complete the Reply Form by June 1, 2021 or within two weeks of receiving your offer of admission, whichever is later”. My friend told me since I got my admin letter before june 1st, I have to commit before june 1st

I’m appealing my decision even though I know chances of getting admitted at this point is very slim to none

ohhh that honestly makes sense. I am a spring admit so I have until August 1st. sorry for the confusion.

but it says “whichever is later” which is the two weeks… no?

I would honestly call the fa office. if that is not possible. you can always commit and just revoke it later if the aid you receive is insufficient

!!! ya I think you have 2 weeks

I think that means for whoever got their letter after June 1st. im not too sure tho

I think that’s for the people who received their decision less than 2 weeks before June 1st. you can always email them to clarify.

You have till June 1st or two weeks after you were admitted, whichever is later.

for spring admit we have until august 1st tho

If received on 24th, you have until June 7. No surprise you don’t have you FA, it is 3-7 business days in the best case scenario. Also check FAST and make sure all your docs are checked off and they don’t need anything else.

For those considering an appeal, keep in mind they do not have a formal process for transfer appeals like they do for freshman appeals, so it may be weeks/months/not at all before you hear back. So give it a go, but have a B plan for sure.

An appeal should include new information that wasn’t on your original application. Not just how bad you want to go to USC or how great USC is, they know that. New grades can be included, but are not going to be enough to pull you in considering they still have SGRs outstanding and rejected some with 4.0s. So if you have new and compelling info, please provide that in addition to what you would bring/contribute to USC if not in your original essays.
