Iā€™m currently a freshman at a UC, admitted to Marshall as a sophomore for spring after receiving an SGR. I heard back today after submitting an SGR of 4.0 on Thursday, for anyone wondering.

Any tips on success or any group chats for a spring admit would be greatly appreciated!

does anyone have recommendations as to where the best places to look for housing are? I know itā€™s probably slim pickings by now but just thought Iā€™d ask.

Complexes - Gateway, Icon, Tuscany. Property Mgmt (houses and apartments) First Choice Housing has been good for us for many years. Stuho was awful.

Not yet! I submitted my spring grades (4.0) and they said ā€œnicely done!ā€ in the email but I donā€™t want to get false hopes again :sob:

I submitted my spring grade and didnā€™t hear anything back. How did you receive that email?

I emailed admissions my letter and spring grades. They then got back to me saying that the appeals chairperson and anyone on the admissions committee will be able to see my appeal.

Thereā€™s other complexes too - those were the ones off the top of my head and I had to answer fast so we could get to In-N-Out :), West 27th, 505, Lorenzo are some others, or look for smaller complexes and houses or rooms in houses from First Choice Housing (which has website) or other online property listings.

Anyone have any places to find people looking for room mates or just the transfer facebook group?

Sorry super late on the replyā€¦ been doing house projects and other stuff lol but I havenā€™t heard anything as of yet. I submitted appeal letter on the 30th and spring grades on the 8th or 9th. With a lot of SGRs still not receiving decisions as of this week, I am thinking it will be awhile before appeals hear anything (mid july-aug) this may be just me expecting the latest to keep my mind from going crazy but honestly I am not complaining cause it has allowed me to focus my energy on other things that are enjoyable and good for my mental health. I wish everyone the best and tag me if anyone hears any updates so I am in the loop.

Has anybody received a personal invitation to schedule a campus visit? I contacted USC and asked if I could come visit the campus and they told me that they were open for in person campus visits but that I should have received an invitation to schedule one.

Yes we received an email.

Campus is open for visiting in general and has been since springā€¦I donā€™t think the buildings are open yet, but can certainly see a lot and get a feel walking around campus. You donā€™t need invite to do that. Everything at the Village is open so can grab lunch there.

itā€™s from admitusc@usc.edu. The title says ā€œYoure; Invited: Sign Up for an ON-Campus Tour!ā€. We got it on 6/8 so the day after she was admitted.
