@CADREAMIN my daughter was admittied 6/7 and her noncustodial waiver was approved 6/23 (after a phone call). She still has not received her financial aid summary. I want her to call but she’s telling me I need to be patient. Is this wait normal? Are they dragging their feet because she already committed? Lots of parents need to know about financial aid before their kid commits so I don’t understand what is taking so long.

Currently July 2nd, and I’m still waiting on a decision after sending in my spring grades on May 28th. I know there’s nothing I can do to speed up the process, but I’d like some voice of reason/comfort because I’ve been beyond anxious for at least the past month now. For context, I applied as a sophomore transfer. I did well my first semester (ended with a 3.94) but my second semester was extremely rough. For the first time I truly struggled with school, worked my butt off, and ended up with a 3.0, bringing down my cumulative to a 3.7. I know this still falls into the average for admitted transfers, but I’m being particularly hard on myself because I’ve always expected myself to excel in school. I so badly want to get into USC, but I fear that my spring semester will shoot me right in the foot.

At the very least, I hope that I get in for my second choice major (Economics) because I might not get into my first choice (CS).

So happy for all of you that got your acceptances and I hope I can join you this fall! Fight on!

Absolutely call. Today. They are there to help. They won’t take away the acceptance or money! Simply ask when they think package will be complete. They may be waiting on something or just need the call to bump it to completion. No harm in calling at all!

Hoping for some appeal notifications today :see_no_evil:

I have a feeling majority of SGR decisions will drop today. It has to happen, 4th of July Weekend is upon us and usc will come back into office on July 6th. Really rooting for y’all hopefully a lot of you on here gets in and joins the Trojan family with me!

I have that same feeling. They better not leave us on read

LOL usc gave small batches of acceptances earlier this week. They have to drop majority of decisions today so they can enjoy their weekend.

I hope so! But looking at the past years, they seem to release July decisions around the 8th but I’m really hoping you’re right fingers crossed

Congrats, friend! Welcome to the USC family! I guess Monday was the day some decisions came out. We just didn’t hear about it because those students aren’t on this forum. Hope to see you around campus! Fight on

I really hope some decisions come out. It only seems right to pump some out before the long weekend. We will see around 5 Pm-6:30 PM PST today

I am not mad, but I really think they should speed it asap since we submitted our application back in Feb.

Seems like USC is the only university that has their transfer applicants waiting this long

So we called. All they could say was it was still in review and it should be another 5-10 business days. I’m so annoyed.

For anyone here, there were appeal decision yesterday on the discord chat. All were rejections but at least those here that are waiting to hear about their appeal can know that there is movement going on… I’m still waiting to hear back. Good luck to anyone in the boat.
