Which orientations are best? Why are some only 10 spots while others are 50?
Just signed up for one of the first few in June. I am curious if it is primarily reserved for another program/college since it was one of the few that had x out of 10 instead of x out of 50. Maybe it is just a small orientation.

Some are x amount out of 10, others are x out of 50. So it says like 46 out of 50 spots left, or 4 out of 10 spots left. They only opened 10 spots for some, and 50 for others. @SAD1010 Most of the early June ones are the ones with only x out of 10.
@LM3232 Im honestly not sure…when D19 registered there was nothing like that written.
There are so many different classes freshmen can take that even the later NSO dates can find things to fill. Remember, regardless of major - there are many general ed requirements that need to be taken and those usually have very large capacity classes.

@SAD1010 What a cool major, maybe each orientation has a different amount of spots open for every college.
@LM3232 I think you are probably right. D19’s roommate is an architectural student and got one day in May instead of two.
I didn’t get any days in May, I think we figured it out!
Crazy I waited until 4:52pm when we got the email… got the Sunday/Monday June 9/10 I think… between done with finals and graduation June 12

My son got into Smeal and we will visit this week. He will still need some time to make a decision. I hope when he decides it wont be too late.

@penmon222, my son finished his ALEKS last night. I thought we had to wait 24 hours after the AKEKS, but then heard we could register the next business day. But just got an error message saying “unmatched imported student registration attempt.”. Is it because it hasn’t been 24 hours? Has anyone else gotten this error message? Thanks in advance for any insight.
@OnHisWay Yep, you have to wait 24 hours. Had the same thing until It was 24 hours since I had finished.
