For a diligent student, maintaining GPA is not a problem.

Union total costs are ~88K/year . Merit based scholarships range from 12K to 40K/ year.
Doing an MBA costs additional $.
AMC total costs are ~85K/year.
So, without scholarships, you are looking at ~700K to 750K over a 8 year period.
Does njms take into consideration that a student was only forwarded by 1 ug and not others?
I am thankful we have some good options- Penn state PMM vs Rochester REMS vs RPI physician scientist.. Any advice on which one and what to look for when selecting? There are pros and cons for all.. Should we go for a 7 yr program because it is accelerated but is binding or a 8 yr program which gives the freedom to apply out? All are out of state..
REMS looks great choice and also no MCAT. RPI only kid likes to be research. All 3 are wonderful options, based on the cost, location you can decide. Congratulations
From a medical school perspective which one is better Rochester, Sidney Kimmel or Albany?
Sidney Kimmel is the oldest BS/MD program and has the largest alum network and better residency options.
I would suggest visiting the colleges during their admitted student days and letting the student get a feel for the colleges.
They have to spend 3 to 8 years in such environments and they need to feel ok with that.
Having said that, Philly is a town most young people like. One can’t say that for Rochester or Albany. Both these places are gloomy during winter. Penn State is a giant university with a lot of student activities. Student can also graduate in 2 years with their AP credits.
Hope this helps.
