TCNJ & NJIT: Multiple waves of NJIT interview invites and interviews have already happened.
Select students’ applications have already been forwarded to NJMS.
Do you know if NJIT has forwarded students applications to NJMS ? because so far even on reddit I have seen only students being forwarded from TCNJ
Njit interviews should have completed by now, there are few students last year that got forwarded to NJMS directly without even interviews and they came to know about it only in late January. NJMS will send the secondary essays and it will be a slow process and it will have waves too
We received an update today. This will be the first med school interview for my son. Any insight how to prepare and what to expect?
PMM invites came out today
Does anyone have any statistics for the BA/MD W&J/Temple LKSOM program? How many apply/ interview/get accepted? And attrition rate? My son applied and is waiting to see if he gets the first interview. Thank you!
Has any received invite to apply to Albany LIM program from Union college, my son was admitted to the undergrad program but nothing from AMC yet!
AMC has started sending supplementals for all 3 undergrad colleges.
It comes in waves and can continue all the way till March end.
W&J/Temple - they take up to 5 kids. About 50 kids will be interviewed.
They interview around Jan 1st/2nd week.
Does anyone have accepted student stats in BS MD programs at Albany LIM, University of South Carolina, APME Arizona or Rutgers/NJMS? My son received his first round interview from Rutgers, not sure what the next steps are going to be? @ NoviceDad - any details you can share?
You can check linkedin stats for above, in general UOSC says their top scholars have 4.0 GPA UW and 1550 SAT and top 1% school
Albany takes 15 students each from RPI, Union and Sienna
APME - 5 students
Rutgers/NJMS - varies as many students apply to multiple undergrads
South Carolina - @sdad2024 has shared the stats.
Are the medical school interviews (BS/MD) virtual or in-person for the following schools:
- Case Western PPSP
- GW/GW
- IU Indianapolis
- Rochester REMS
- Drexel
- RPI AMC
- Rutgers NJMS
- Stony Brook
- VCU
- Cincinnati Connections
- Rowan
- Hofstra
- Syracuse/SUNY Upstate
- Texas A&M
Thanks!
Very high bars.
Read some of the profiles. Seems like they are picking students who spent time in hospitals.
Where did you read/see the profiles with high bars/hospital experience, can you please share the link?
Thank you NoviceDad and sdad!!!
Any historical accepted candidate stats like their profiles (GPA, ACT scores, research exp etc) - to get an idea would be nice to know!
My students have been able to get into South Carolina’s programs.
But, nowadays, every college has high expectations.
The link @sdad2024 posted shows individual pictures and what they think about medicine. Most are quoting their experiences in why medicine and they are reading like personal statements that I see from regular medical applicants.
One of them mentions earning a CNA and I had to google that! When did high school students start pursuing certifications!
@NoviceDad and/or other experts? Please respond to my query about interviews (BS/MD) virtual or in-person
