Apparently Michigan got a penalty after the play for making a disallowed gesture. They got the ball with a 15 yard penalty but didn’t have to run a play so everyone was streaming onto the field. No fight.
It must have started after you walked away. There is concern some tOSU player may be barred from playoffs.
ETA: Just heard the police used pepper spray on the players to break up the fighting.
Just got off the phone with my son. Yeah!!! Go Blue!! I can’t believe Michigan was even in this game. Wow! I lost my voice… Can’t believe they just didn’t run in that TD. They had the throwing play wide open but still. Plus it would of eaten more of the clock. I am kinds numb.
I have to watch what happened after but OSU has to learn how to lose gracefully. That wasn’t a good look for either team. Hope no one got hurt and OSU might be gone from the Big Ten Play offs anyway with either a Indiana win or Penn State win, Think. Totally insane.
Michigan played the odds. The last 22 games the winner had more running yards. OSU has to do the math.
I wish I’d seen more of that game, but I was watching Senior Day with the UT volleyball team. They were in a tight match but pulled it out!
I was there! Cold, but fun!
Son’s gf is a MI grad, she was happy today too:)
Glad you had fun. I went to the game at Michigan when they beat OSU last time and it was totally insane. No fights either.
We all watched at home. Unbelievable. Michigan should have had no chance. Davis Warren, the Michigan QB, threw 2 critical INT’s and they still have won.
The big question now is, does Ryan Day, the OSU coach, get fired for 4 straight losses to their hated rival.
I wish I knew how to do a poll.
Please tell me whether you think Ryan Day should get fired. Also let me know whether you are a Michigan or OSU fan.
I’m a Michigan fan and would love for Ryan Day to remain at OSU. ![]()
However, as to the question of whether he should be fired, yes, he should be fired. If I were OSU, then I’d fire him and the AD.
Day has an almost unlimited budget, hired the assistant coaches he wanted, paid to get the best players available in the transfer portal and always recruits one of the best freshman classes (#3 for 2025 so far) every year and yet still lost at home to a mediocre, at best, Michigan team.
And I’ll add that Michigan was without their best offensive (Colston Loveland, TE) AND defensive players (Will Johnson, CB).
Penn State fans finally getting what they wanted, and wishing they hadn’t. A championship chance, but against Oregon? hooo boy, not gonna be pretty.
I can’t believe they won when I wasn’t burning my good luck candle:
And, yes, Ryan Day should be fired but let’s not hurry that up…
perhaps winning the national title could save it. otherwise, there will be plenty of suitors to hire him when available.
Like Florida State.
OSU has 23 NFL Draft eligible players at OSU. Will some opt out?
IMO, if you can’t win at OSU, then I’m not sure where you can win.
Don’t dislike Texas or A&M but can’t stand that guy!
Oh. no! That is @MaineLonghorn’s crush!
I think he’s alright, alright, alright. ![]()
Oh, he’s my celebrity crush. DH knows I would drop him in a second if Matthew came along… ![]()
Yep. People usually go with the winners.
I see other teams kids decommiting also. OSU QB of last year before he got the boot did pretty well with Syracuse last night. Just saying…
I think Day should be fired since the culture at OSU is just wrong. Look at the post game interviews and also watch Day during the scuffle on the field. He just stood on the sidelines like he was a President watching an insurrection (
).
In his post conference he said basically that his kids had the right to defend their field against a team that was celebrating. His kids came out swinging. Literally. That’s their uneducated culture that he is defending
Michigan head coach was out with his players trying to separate them and stop the mele. He stated in his post game interview something like both sides need to do better and he will be looking into it.
For an extremely intelligent response. OSU needs to learn how to lose and just leave it on the field. They don’t have anymore excuses for this loss. They spent over $25 million dollars to build this team.
They could of saved all that money and just do what Michigan did. Use their analytics to know one simple fact. The team in the last 23 year’s that has won this game had the most running yards. Michigan did it even with one of their running backs going out early with an injury. Depleted stars. Using second and third choice player’s. QBs that would be anyone’s 3rd options and so on. They were playing at home. Michigan lost 15 players to the NFL and their head coach, last year. Plus important assistant coaches went with Harbaugh. No snow excuse. No sun excuse. No one video taping their signs(which they were found guilty of) . I am sick and tired of their excuses. They ran out of them. Period.
Sometimes you have to man up and just say “The better team won”.
If Sherrone Moore would of ran that TD in instead of attempting to Warren throwing they would of been up by 7. If they kicked that first field goal (I agreed with them trying to run it in but still) they would of been up by 10 in the 4th. The game wasn’t as close as the score suggested.
OK. I feel better now ![]()
