2024 college football thread

It really did not look good for ND early in the game.

Go Bucks!!

That replay of Jeremiah Love scoring a touchdown while being tackled by 3 guys is amazing.

The announcers said Love told them that he wouldn’t be hurdling anyone since he has a bad knee.

The play where Love hurdles a PSU player on a bad knee was amazing too.

As tough and determined of a 2 yard run as I’ve seen in many many years of watching football – he really gutted it out for the team.

Whoa! Golden from Texas with a one-handed catch.

What a game! Not a tOSU fan but they certainly played to win. Look forward to the final with Notre Dame. Congrats to the Buckeyes! Or, as the announcer said at the basketball game in Atlanta - the Buc-eeees…eyes!

So sad :cry::cry::cry:

Great season. Had our chances but some bad play-calling at the goal line. We had four chances to get one yard (more thanks to PI) and couldn’t get it done. Can’t wait for next season. People can finally quit begging for Arch! We’ll see whether he lives up to the hype.

I think it’ll be a great championship game. Teams are evenly matched.

LOL, this is kind of me. I grew up in East Lansing in the 60’s, so was used to Notre Dame being the arch nemesis of MSU. Then I went to Michigan in the early 70’s so of course had a new arch nemesis.

Husband, for no reason on earth I can imagine other than his first roommate being an alumnus and a rabid OSU fan, is also an OSU fan. In our early years, we did go to The Big Game at both stadiums.

Many years later on a Saturday afternoon, husband was out of town visiting his parents. Old roommate calls and says, “Marilyn, I’m so sorry.” OMG, what happened, I’m scared! Turns out OSU had just beaten U of M. Not being a sports person, I had not watched the game.

Anyway, I decided last year’s season would be the grand finale of my decades old college fervor, such as it was. Between attending the Rose Bowl and subsequent success, I can rest content. It was quite satisfying.

(Although I was gently pleased with the result of this year’s Big Game.)

To me, OSU is the “Death Star”. It’s like “ABTD” (anybody but the Dodgers) for SF Giants fans.

And I like Marcus Freeman.

Go Irish! :shamrock:

I was just going to post that myself. Lol.

I saw an OSU guy today and I was walking around with my Michigan cap on. I said “Go Blue”… He didn’t have a clue. ND people are coming out of the woodwork also…
