He is…some of the time. He can make some really bad decisions but he’s just a baby so that’s to be expected. James often makes the dumbest playcalls, so we are hoping for a Penn State win but expecting a loss. I’d rather lose to Notre Dame than face OSU again!
I’m OK with using Arch more. I understand why Sark hasn’t, but this is going to be our toughest game of the year so I hope he throws everything at them.

It is amazing…goes to show how wrong the ranking “elders” are when determining a national champion. Football is a great way to determine who should have the national championship in football! 
I don’t think anyone thought the 1-4 seeds were the top four teams in the country. The committee was hamstrung by its own rules so the seeding looks whack. I am surprised that not a single team with a bye won. Those teams had weeks to game-plan for their one opponent.

They were probably too busy celebrating and went soft. The other teams were playing like underdogs with something to prove.

If you look at the last (pre-playoff) coaches poll then the teams ranked 3, 4 5, and 7 remain in the playoff. (OSU dropped.to 7 after the MI game.) Although the 1 & 2 ranked teams (OR and TX) lost, the remaining teams make sense. IMO the seeding procedure for the playoffs needs to be revisited.
Include conference champions (it gives teams something to play for), but don’t give them an automatic bye; reseed the 12 teams in the playoff based on the coaches’ (or other) poll. At least that’s how I would do it.

I’m ridiculously excited for Friday’s game. No one thinks that we will win. I like playing with house money!

Minor crisis: Our friends in Massachusetts don’t have ESPN. They have smart TVs, though, so I should be able to stream the UT-OSU game from my phone. If not, I will be finding a local bar.

I can’t believe I’m on the edge of my seat watching this MTState/NDSt game. Ds2’s gf went to MT State, and I feel compelled to watch it because she watched UT with us last week. Go, Bobcats!

We have so many Montana friends here who are going to be in the dumps for days. We were so rooting for the Bobcats. 
They really made it exciting, at least.

CU played NDState the first game of the year. They were really good. A lot of their fans were at the game (in Boulder) and they were so nice. We were teasing them (‘it’s okay, you can sing along’ when we were playing our fight songs). They were ahead for most of the game but we pulled it out at the last minute.

I wanted both these teams to win, like them both a lot - wish this was the Nat’l Championship Game. It was well fought. Congrats Notre Dame - GO Irish!
