As a result of the FAFSA delay, some colleges are officially pushing back Decision Day from May 1 to June 1.
Let’s use this thread to list what we know. Please add a screenshot if available.
I don’t have screenshots, but have heard these schools moved to June 1:
Pacfic Lutheran
Misercordia ¶
Kalamazoo College (MI)
Lewis & Clark
Widener - “Suspending May 1 deadline”
I have seen in several threads that Oregon State will now also be june 1
I think it will become a requirement in the coming weeks from NACAC to make it 6/1.
No. The colleges can not move in a unified manner to a June 1 date because that would be collusion and would incite another DOJ lawsuit against NACAC. Many schools will change their date. Some won’t.
NACAC requires no deadlines before 10/15 and also the 5/1 deadline. What’s the difference? I’m assuming it’s because they don’t really go after them for previously made rules but not sure.
Suffolk University moved to June 1st.
NACAC does not require the May 1 deadline. It is merely a suggested guideline/best practices. A number of programs, especially some music/MT/BFA programs, have enrollment deadlines before May 1.
Basically after the DOJ lawsuit against NACAC a few years ago, NACAC’s CEPPs (formerly SPGPs) are a best practices document with no teeth, meaning NACAC can’t enforce these best practices or administer any consequences for a school doing something else.

Miami Ohio sent out an email today daying they’re pushing their enrollment deadline to May 15th at 11:59 PM EST.
UCs and CSUs pushed SIR date to May 15, with the exception of UCB for OOS and int’l students.
Ohio State University is pushing back to 5/15
Pepperdine just moved theirs to 5/15 per an email we just received
Southwestern University is keeping their 5/1 enrollment deadline, but now has their own financial aid form online that students can fill out in order to get a preliminary financial aid award letter in advance of the financial aid package that they’ll send out after they receive SAI data from FAFSA.
Rutgers moved their day to June 1! That’s the latest I’ve seen so far.
William & Mary moved their date to 5/15. Just announced today on Insta.
Can you turn this into a wiki post please. That way we can make a chart in just one single post that is easier to navigate.
That’s a great idea to have a chart. I have no idea how to make a wiki post. Can you do or only the original poster? If OP, pls guide me.
