Is anyone applying to the World Scholars program? My daughter was accepted last week for Athens, Greece.
My son was accepted three days ago, giving us one fewer thing to worry about before Christmas.
CONGRATS to your son. How was he notified? On the portal or in the mail?
Anyone heard anything about merit scholarships yet??
@afor912 Nothing yet and accepted in early November. Hopefully we will all hear something soon.
@afor912 Merit Scholarships should have been mentioned in your acceptance letter. At least, that is where my daughters was, which I think she received late last week or over the weekend. She was accepted to UD on 27 NOV 19.
Sorry for the delay. It was on the portal, with a package in the mail days later.
I’m wondering if my son should give the admissions office a call. There wasn’t any mention of merit but the NPC calculated $15,000. He was admitted in early November. Reading through last years comments there was an acceptance date range where a group of admissions did not receive expected merit and it turned out to be an administrative error.
Hi - when did you find out you you were deferred for Biology? What were your stats?
Website states merit will be sent out 8-12 weeks after acceptance
I think the earlier wave of acceptances did not hear merit $ and/or Honors in the acceptance letter but some accepted in later waves did get merit $ and/or Honors in the acceptance letter. Can anyone confirm?
My daughter was accepted on 11/6 SAT 1540, GPA 4.25 out of 4.3 UW and has not heard about merit. She was accepted to the honors college, though, a couple of weeks after her original acceptance. The website originally said merit follows in 2 weeks but was later changed to 8 to 12 weeks after acceptance. Still hoping for some merit to come in January!
@Topcat123 - My son was accepted on 11/6 as well. Where did you find info about when merit will be decided? TIA.
@jdhMom its located on their scholarship page of the UD website
@Jeb0602 is correct. From following this thread from the beginning it appears they received twice as many early action applications as they did the year before so they are running behind.
i applied to the nursing program EA and still haven’t heard back. Does anybody know when i will get a decision?
Are you sure you’re referring to Delaware here? or maybe you’re confusing with another school your daughter was accepted to? There hasn’t been anyone else on this thread who received merit notification…
@ChemEparent Yep. My daughter received a letter from UD. The other school had it in the acceptance letter that was in her portal. I’ll triple check tonight after work. Remember though, not everyone who got accepted to UD is in this forum. Are you OOS?
