OOS here, accepted 2 months ago, still no notice on merit or Honors college
DS is waiting to hear a decision still. Itâs been 7 weeks⊠anyone know when the next round of notifications will go out?
Our DD accepted on Nov 22nd (OOS) - nothing on merit or financials yet on her portal. Based on the website 8-12 weeks timeline I donât expect the merit scholarships to be released until late Jan to early Feb.
DS accepted 11/8, then accepted to Honors College 12/ 6. No word on Merit Scholarship yet.
@Annandalemom would you mind sharing stats, major, location etc⊠thanks
Accepted 11/6 1420 4.2 no word on merit yet
1470, 4.1, Computer Engineering, OOS
i just saw today on twitter that they will let EA know by 1/31
DD wonât be a Blue Hen. She accepted the scholarship and enrolled in her first choice yesterday. Iâm very happy for her.
@Candy-O How much was her scholarship? My daughter has similar stats.
@candy-o how much was her merit aid from Delaware?
@Claudelee , it was very low ($4k). UD was always #4 on her college list, but that merit amount solidified it. She is in-state, so merit is usually lower for in-state students. Her #1 choice beat that merit amount by more than 10 times.
@Candy-O thank you.
A question for those who applied this year. Were there supplemental essays as part of the application process? I heard that supplementals no longer exist. TIA!
Has Anyone heard from the Nursing College yet?
@Candy-O : When did you student receive their merit aid notification? Looks like they notify in state first?
@peanutrose Yes, my D was admitted to Nursing in early/mid-November.
All the other schools that my DS has been applied to automatically considered him for honors collegeâŠdidnât need a separate application except UDel. So, does honors college application help or hurt your prospects? If you donât get into honors will they still automatically consider you for a ânon-honorsâ slot? Or would they just flat out reject you? Im just wondering this is might be why itâs taking a long time to hear back as wellâŠ
@MThopeful2022 I donât think one has to do with the other. My D did not even apply to honors until recently, although she was admitted to UDel back in November. The application to the school is read by Admissions. The application to the honors college is evaluated by the honors college.
@Annandalemom she recieved a letter in the mail, it wasnât in the Portal. She was accepted the day before Thanksgiving then got a separate letter about three weeks or so later that had the merit in it. She is in-state so that may be why.
