@hopefullly3 If you’re talking about general acceptance decision, some folks we know got mail. And some, like my son, the decision just appeared on the portal today 1/10… no email advising that it was here or anything. Accepted as a University Studies major I guess because he still needs to audition for the Music major? Dunno. Just went on the portal to get an email address for the admissions counselor and there was YouDee confetti It says financial aid comes about 8-12 weeks AFTER acceptance. Eeek… That’s quite the long wait.
Got the Honors admission yesterday (1/10)…could tell there was some update coming because they had added the 1/10 date to the original November acceptance letter on the upper right. OOS, 31ACT (Math=35), 4.0w GPA, Applied Math.
Daughter OOS- NJ Accepted 11/22 for Biomedical Engineering wGPA 3.95, uwGPA 3.75 4 APs, ACT 32 Superscored, $17K merit award.
This puts UD firmly on the list for accepted student day visit as less COA than WPI by $10K, bit more than Rutgers but still waiting on U Mass at Amherst, Purdue, Georgia T (reach), Virginia T, RIT, U Maryland CP, Vanderbilt (reach) - deferred at Case Western Reserve.
This is a long journey and its going to go to the wire I feel at the end of April!
Forgot to add above, $15K merit.
Got deferred! I don’t know how many students Del defers each year or if it’s a good or bad thing, but I hope to join you all! Congrats to everyone.
1/10 Confetti on the Portal for my son - Admitted. Very unceremonious - no email to say there was a change or anything - just the dates kept changing daily for the last week +. Just happened to look. In State ( a GREAT thing in DE cause he wouldn’t have gotten in otherwise, but they practice what they preach - committed to Delawarians ) 2.5 GPA, 23 ACT, University Studies pending audition, I guess cause he applied for Applied Music - Instrumental - EC’s a plenty… all music related. Marching Band Captains, UD Youth Ensemble, Delaware Youth Orchestra and the list goes on AND he has a j-o-b. Still has to audition. Really bittersweet cause UD is super low on his list, just because they’re right up the street and he’s already THERE. I mean he works at the pizza place ON campus, studies with the music instructor there, is in their bands, community music school etc. I can’t really fault him for not really wanting to go there since he truly is already THERE. He can ride his bike to school That being said, he he DID smile when he saw the confetti.
Does anyone know what the in state amount for Trustee is? I’ve seen OOS as $17,000 but wondering about in state. Thanks!

Deferred January 11th for exercise science major
Does anyone know the decision timeline if you applied regular decision? I’ve read that they no longer do rolling admissions but I cannot find any actual timeline on their website.
I applied regular decision in late November and got my decision on 1/10
Anyone know when merit comes out for students who were just accepted. I got accepted 1/10 and I know they recently started giving out merit so I was wondering how long I should expect. Nothing regarding merit was mentioned in the package I got in the mail
@baseball156 my daughter was accepted 11/22 and her merit information posted last week on 01/09 so hers took almost 7 weeks.
@Bech05 Are you in state or OOS. Did you get the full financial aid package or just merit?
Does anyone know if Delaware takes continued letter of interests ? (or email in this day and age)
My daughter was deferred back in December with pre-vet due to its competitiveness although her stats are mostly above average (98 GPA and 29 ACT along with many EC’s) so she was pretty bummed as Delaware was her first choice. She was wondering about sending a letter but wanted to wait until January around RA time (aka now) so she could list some new achievements.
Her second option was switching her major to animal science (second choice) for a slightly better chance but I’m assuming that would require calling the admissions office. Any tips? Good luck to everyone !!
@baseball15678 we are out of state (PA) We got both, however the only financial aid she qualified for were loans in her name totaling $5500.00. She did get some merit and also has scholarship money from raise me.
They have until April to tell you.
