Once an acceptance is received, how is the student notified about merit money? Is it through the portal, email, letter? Also, does anyone know how long it takes? Thanks!

Yes, the same thing happened to my daughter! She now can’t login to check her status. She emailed admissions and they told her everything was fine on their side and saw no problems. As of today(11/9) she still can’t log in.

here’s a stupid question
we applied early action via common app. It says downloaded. When do you get access to the portal? My D says she doesn’t have an email from them with any portal information. Is it once they have made a decision? First time doing this so very confused lol. Thanks!

@Millie72 D20 applied on October 10 via the Common App and received her portal notification/login on October 11 with the subject line: “UD application next steps”.

You will get a letter within 2 weeks

Applied end of August - although our HS did not send in all needed supporting docs until Oct 1. Note on webpage says “11 weeks since submission”. Lower end of stats with 4.1 w and 1280 SAT although great EC if they take that into account.

I was wondering if anyone else has heard back regarding their decision? I think I noticed on the November 7th that my daughter’s status was at awaiting decision then and it still is. It’s technically only been 2 business days but it feels like it’s taking forever to go to the next step.

My daughter’s has been at “awaiting decision” for about a week.

It’s stressful. I keep looking to see if it has gone anywhere and it hasn’t. Her SAT scores weren’t high but her weighted gpa is 4.15 so I know that’s good. We’re out of state though so she had to submit her SAT scores.

@Bech05 Did you D20 apply to other schools? Or is this the last one you’re waiting for? :smile:

@bigmacbeth she applied to 2 other schools so far. UDel is her number 1 pick. The one we still have to send her test scores and the other one doesn’t start sending decisions until January.

my portal changed to “Awaiting Decision,” about a week ago. Does anyone know when I should expect to hear back?

@bigmacbeth Thank you. My daughter told me a few of her friends were accepted last week. We are at the Awaiting Decision stage, so hopefully, my daughter will hear back soon. The nursing program is so competitive.
