What day did your daughter apply?
My son logged in this afternoon and there was confetti and links to accepted students days and an invitation to apply to the world scholars program. By 8:30 he was really upset because his status switched back to âawaiting decisionâ. Iâm pissed as these kids are under enough stress and it seems U of Delaware has a history of making similar admissions mistakesâŠ
DDâs still showing âAwaiting Decisionâ, even though her portal shows it was updated yesterday and again today. I guess something is occuring in the background. It has been about a week or a little over since it change to âAwaiting Decisionâ.
When did she apply?
Iâm trying to get a sense of turnaround time from application submission to acceptance. Can anyone who has received an acceptance share their turnaround time?

@sapmom I think there have been many people who have provided this earlier in the thread. It seems to be dependent on stats and state of residence, and possibly major. Did you look at last yearâs acceptance thread? My daughter with 3.93UW/1440 applied on 10/110, under review 10/12, accepted to Nursing 11/6.
@sapmom my daughter applied 8/30. I just called admissions and they said it was a glitch in their system but that she should find out in a week. Her status after my call with them on the portal now says final decision. So frustrating! And she was so upset this was fake news. Hoping its just a premonition of what is to come.
my portal says awaiting decision. what does this mean in terms of the acceptance timeline? does it change to awaiting confirmation before I receive a decision?

@Candy-O I think it updates every time you log on. I check my daughterâs portal a lot and it always changes to the date that it is. Tomorrow will be a week that sheâs been at awaiting decision so I hope she finds out soon.
I also called and received a very unsatisfactory answer. These are kids they are dealing with. My child is devastated. Shame on them!!! Also, it seems that every applicant was able to see the confetti, etc. so I donât believe it is a sign of anything. Just hoping for the bes.

So yesterday we got the confetti and acceptance, then it disappeared. Pretty awful when it went back to under review. We called, as others did, and received information that a glitch and should have a decision w/in a week or so. Today she received confetti again with link to acceptance letter, etc. the real deal. I have a very happy daughter on my hand. For those that are still waiting. Hope it changes to accepted soon!
Yesterday I had the glitch and it went back to awaiting decision last night. I logged in by chance today at 3 and I got officially accepted!

After our let down yesterday of confetti and an acceptanceâŠthen back to awaiting decision⊠after making a phone call to admissions saying it was a glitch and she was awaiting decision status- finally we got the real news . 3pm- she was officially accepted into School of Health Science- Major- Exercise Science. We got confetti and then a link to an acceptance letter. I have a very happy child! GPA 4.2 SAT 1270. She applied 8/31, accepted today.
