My son logs on daily and the portal hasn’t been updated in about a week. Today was updated and his regional counselor is now pictured (the one that visited his school). So that’s a change. He has been awaiting decision for over a week. Applied 10/23. Fingers crossed.

Got my acceptance today OOS for Computer Engineering
Applied in early October and have still not heard. Says Awaiting Decision for a week, at least. I’m assuming no one has received a rejection at this point, just acceptances? Getting nervous as my son may be borderline with 3.6 gpa (1320 SAT)? Yikes, hope we hear soon and congrats to everyone accepted!
@BrielleNJ24 we are in the same situation. Stats about the same, although he applied 11 (!!!) weeks ago - OOS from MA which is not hugely represented at UDel per their stats (2% approx). ECs are great (active working EMT through a program unique to his high school - none like it in the state) But we have been at awaiting decision for well over a week. Looking for any answer at this point!!!
@Momtofourkids I hear you! We just want to know at this point! But honestly I was surprised so many people have heard already because I didn’t even realize they put out acceptances this early until I started poking around. We clearly aren’t in the first round with our stats but let’s hope there is a place for them. That EMT program sounds awesome, fingers crossed for your son! We are OOS, NJ. Good luck!

I applied for Pre-Vet/Animal Science major on September 19th. I’m in-state and have a UW 3.2 GPA and 1250 SAT. I completed 4 college credits this summer through UD’s EDGE program and got good grades so I was hoping to have a slight upper hand. I also have over 8000 hours for service (and an award for doing so) because I’ve been working with animal shelters since I was 11 and have fostered 57 puppies. UD is my first choice and, of course, now I’m psyching myself out because everyone else is getting in. I’ve been in “awaiting decision” for exactly a week now. I was wondering if anyone had the time it took for their pages to switch from “awaiting decision” to “accepted.”
My daughter is in the same boat, she has a horse and volunteers at a shelter and applied to animal science on August 1, similar academic stats with a 3.7 GPA and not a great SAT, and still says awaiting decision. Perhaps they are notifying certain majors before others.
@ALE321 thanks so much for the encouragement. It’s good to hear we still have a shot. We are hoping for the best. My son applied as a finance major. Despite his so-so stats, he has three dual enrollment finance classes at a local college, as well as three non-credit finance classes at NYU with and A in all. Here’s hoping for the best for all the kids here. This brutal!!
My daughter applied on October 10 and was accepted on November 13 so about 5 weeks. We were not expecting to hear until January - I thought UD replaced rolling admission with early action/regular decision.
Admitted under Biological Sciences (Arts & Sciences)
1560 SAT
4.2 GPA (weighted)
She plans to but has not yet applied to the Honors College.

Hang in there everyone! My son got accepted (posted above) and he had good scores, but not amazing (3.78 uw gpa, 30/31 ss ACT), so there doesn’t seem any rhyme or reason. I’ll be crossing my fingers for all!
@jdmdude can you please post your test score and GPA? My daughter also applied Computer Engineering and we are getting anxious.
Anyone accepted for Accounting / School of Business? I have not seen that posted yet? Trying hard not to call UDel to ask about way acceptances are rolling out because it is not by state or date applied!
My daughter isn’t Accounting (Criminal Justice) but I agree, I’m thinking it’s rolling out by major (we are in state). She applied the end of August and has been on awaiting decision for about a month. Good luck! Hope we hear soon!
Have any criminal justice majors heard yet? My daughter’s application was complete on 10/15 and it has said awaiting decision for about 2 weeks…
@Emmajanice & @NJapplicantmom we are from NY. D applied animal science/prevet in early October & got her acceptance last week. she has strong grades & ACT scores but certainly not the 8000 hours though she has rode equestrian for several years as well as track & field throughout HS . her portal said awaiting decision about a week or 2 before we heard, still havent heard about merit or honors college ( which she did apply to at same time as application) . hope that is helpful.?
