love vuong!! night sky with exit wounds really influenced my style in poetry + siken is great too. i remember being obsessed with woolf when i was super into stream-of-consciousness and everything.
some of my other favs r probably chen chen, mahmoud darwish, ishiguro, murakami, and franny choi. good luck!

nope-- usually with programs they come out in the afternoon but maybe it’s earlier than that. i’m so scared i actually worked way too hard on my portfolio

Me too. It’s shocking there was 1700 applicants this year. I’m looking forward to trying for the asynchronous online program though. From what I’m reading it’s organized like a creative writing class and as a bonus it’s longer so more time to learn.

Does anyone know someone who has gotten any acceptance emails besides rejections? Some of my friends got their emails like an hour and a half ago and I still haven’t gotten mine. Do you think they’re experiencing that same issue from last year where all the emails didn’t go out at once?

same here, it’s like 2:30am where i’m at and i can’t even get myself to sleep haha…
all the people that I know who’ve gotten their emails already have all been rejected tho
do you think it’s a wave of emails? like not everyone gets an accept/reject at once but they’re all just sent in batches??
omg so thankful i’m not alone though
