Just making a thread for this year. Has anyone heard any results yet?
Radio silence. Last year and the year before, they made announcements towards the end of February. Not sure why they are delayed this year.
I just checked the website as we were wondering too and it says notification will be before March 15.
Thanks for posting this! The last two years they have notified folks by the end of February but we have not heard anything this year yet either so was wondering if we just missed it. Seems like they are waiting until closer to the posted 3/15 date.
That’s what they’ve said in the past years as well but sent notifications much earlier (before end of Feb)– guess they are waiting until closer to the 3/15 date this time.
This summer is a 60th year anniversary one. Could be that they received more applications than usual. 
We’ve heard from Interlochen and Brevard but nothing from BUTI. Interlochen’s extended deadline to accept is March 11th. Starting to sweat a little.
Oh when did Brevard come out? The high school program?
Yes, I called them last Friday and asked about results timing because Interlochen’s deadline was coming up. This past Monday I got an email saying my son had been waitlisted (bassoon) for Orchestra. I actually a little worried that they waitlisted him because he was accepted to Interlochen (Wind Ensemble). I think he’d rather be in an orchestra situation.
Oh I hope it works out for him. We have not heard from Brevard yet. Is it your impression that they have not released all the results yet?
I believe so. The person I spoke to referenced the people judging bassoon as almost completing their adjudication. This gave me the impression that different instrument decisions would come out at different times.
Oh I see. Maybe I will call them because my child has to reply to another program very soon. Thank you.

Yes, we just received an email from BUTI. He was accepted to the bassoon workshop but waitlisted for Orchestra and Wind Ensemble

Did your email come directly from BUTI admissions, and did your portal update at the same time?
Thank you! I don’t know how to feel about the waitlist. It feels like a rejection.
The email came from tanglewd@bu.edu with the name BU Institute.
Has anyone attended the 2-week cello workshop? I’d love to hear about your experience. The website doesn’t seem to have a lot of details about what the program is actually like day to day.
For example, are private lessons included? What does a typical daily schedule look like? Are masterclasses open to everyone? Do students get opportunities to perform? Also, did you feel like the program helped improve your solo playing?
Any information or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks so much!
