26 year playoff drought over!

After 26 years my Brewers are going to the playoffs!
Oh how I love baseball in October.

And it may be another 26 years since no CC Sabathia and no Ben Sheets next year.

Don’t let tsdad rain on your parade, keymom! I’m also thrilled that the Crew made it to the post-season. I’m enjoying it while it’s here…and off to buy a Brewers tee for my daughter at school in Maryland. She wants to show off her team!

Considering how dreadfully the Pack and the Badgers played this weekend we should be very thankful for the Brewers victory.

On the other hand, the Skins beat Dallas. Yea from this former 30-year resident of the DC area.

congrats to your Brew crew, keymom. Still keeping my fingers crossed that the Twins join the playoff party.

I am hoping for the Twinkies too. Gotta love when small market teams beat out the New Yorks and Chicagos of the world.

But not if they beat out the Philadelphias!

The Phillies are ever so much more adorable and deserving than the Brewers, whose road uniforms are surely among the ugliest in baseball. Do people in Wisconsin buy those things?

I just saw that and thought “good for them!!”
yay for your team keymom :)

I was at the Cubs/Brewers game on Saturday, an even though I’m a Cubs fan, I was happy for the Brewer fans. Hopefully, we’ll see the Brewers in the NLCS. I like Miller Park better than Wrigley Field!

Would love to meet the Cubbies in the playoffs. Hopefully you weren’t the drunken Cub fan who spilled beer all over me on Saturday ;)

Another thrilled Brewers fan here!! I’m trying to decide whether to overnight some Brewers clothing to my son at school in Philadelphia!

Go Phillies!!!

We were at the game yesterday and when they showed the Mets lost, the place went nuts!! Not that it doesn’t anyway…

“I am hoping for the Twinkies too. Gotta love when small market teams beat out the New Yorks and Chicagos of the world.” Seriously. . . you’re talking to some Cubs’ fans here. 26 years is nothing compared to 100 years.

A Cubs fan who is married to a Brewers fan. Oh October will be interesting. . .

Go, White Sox! Yes – we play another day!

Better the Brew Crew than the Mets…

Another long time Brewer fan here. I never really realized how long it had been since Brewer playoff baseball until my husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary last year - we were married in September of 1982 in the midst of the playoff race. I almost didn’t want to go on our honeymoon!

W & I were rather more sensibly married in August 1980, the last (and only) time the Phils won the Series. I was at one game, my back against the wall in the nosebleed section, but the place was rockin’. That, of course, was Vet sSadium and we needed the wheeze kids to help us then. This year, we’re legit. We’re contenders. And the American League, if we get that far, is going to whup us.

My 4 favorite teams in order: Twins, Cubs, Red Sox, Brewers. Three are in.

Go Twins!!!

I dreamed last night that CC Sabbathia was a houseguest of mine and we were responsible for getting him to and from Miller Park for the playoff games. (We live about a mile and a half from Miller Park.)

In my dream, he was a very easy guest and had a delightful personality, though was a bit focused on himself. My reaction in my dream was that it was ok for him to be a bit self-absorbed and that I really enjoyed having him around. He also asked me to intervene with the Brewers management to make sure he had a good selection of bats. I said I’d do what I could.

No, the games aren’t on my mind. Go Crew! Go Gallardo!

twins vs. white sox tonight on TBS… for all the marbles. here’s hoping the small market team with the 59 million payroll pulls an upset over the 100+ million payroll team.
