<p>I actually attend Bard High School Early College in New York. The transition from middle to high school was a bit unexpected so I was slightly lazy. I have a cumulative 3.6-3.8 so far and really regret my mistakes. Because my junior and senior classes are going to be all legitimate college classes, will my GPA be at a 3.9-4.0 in my senior year, provided I study rigorously and do all my work?</p>

You can improve to a 3.9.</p>
<p>Possibly 3.4 or 3.5 to 3.8. 3.6 is what I’m assuming because my teachers have good opinions on me and treat me differently from other students when talking.</p>

<p>If you have a 3.4 then you can’t improve to a 3.9…although some schools don’t look at freshmen grades</p>

<p>You won’t be able to get a cumulative 3.9-4.0 (you can never have a 4.0 if you’ve had anything lower than an A, and your GPA is too low to raise to a 3.9 in just one year, unless you have a 3.8). But whether you get a 3.9/4.0 for the year is entirely up to you.
