This is how I feel about the whole thing…there are two types of “love”

Lust love (must common): People just like the whole sexual things and the status.

True love: people who really like being around each other and enjoy each other

I disagree with number 2. I love being around my friends, doesn’t mean I LOVE them though.

I think “true love” is when you put someone before yourself. As cliche as it is, true love is when you’d give up your life for someone else. Or to put it in high school terms, I guess true love would be when you let the boy/girl you like be with someone else because of their happiness, despite your feelings.

what difference does it make if it’s a romantic relationship or not if you’re talking about love? I mean my with my ex, I liked being around him and enjoyed his company, but I never loved him. I just liked him. Wanting to be with someone doesn’t necessarily mean love.

[quote=Wikipedia - Greek Words for Love]
There are several Greek words for love, as the Greek language distinguishes how the word is used. Ancient Greek has four distinct words for love: ag

It’s perfectly possible to be in love during high school. Most just lack the emotional maturity to do so. That, and some people really just aren’t any good with the opposite sex.

if i had a boyfriend, i would be all romantic and stuff…i wouldnt buy a hallmark card but i would have a nice romantic dinner…and sex. lots of sex.

Storge (στοργή storgē[4]) means “affection” in ancient and modern Greek. It is natural affection, like that felt by parents for offspring. Rarely used in ancient works, and then almost exclusively as a descriptor of relationships within the family. It is also known to express mere acceptance or putting up with situations, as in “loving” the tyrant.

If I was going to categorize my feelings for my parents into a type of love it would be this. I put up with it.

If you did the deed with him, it’s “love” :)

I actually hate Hallmark V-day cards. Mostly because they show that you as a bf/gf have little to no imagination whatsoever. Also if you are going to get a V-day gift for your significant other you don’t need to get a card with it… She is going to know who it is from!

^^I guess I could be considered one of those people. I don’t “celebrate” it, but I don’t walk around being all cynical either. It’s kind of meh.
