<3 Tomorrow is the day? <3

^But why? I HATE the 10char rule!

^I don’t really have anyone to celebrate it with, and I’m not going to go out of my way to hate it either. So I just ignore it.

Every time I look at the title of this thread, I hear John Lennon’s lyric “Bloody Sunday’s theeee daaaaaay.”

^What? GUESS WHATS!

Every time I hear “bloody Sunday”, I think of U2.

Yes

I just spent about $7 on a Hallmark card that probably cost $1 to make.

^less than that

^^ There’s always DIY. I love handmade cards. I hardly ever get them though.

While this link isn’t comprehensive, I definitely see these types of love in the world and in myself: [Love styles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Colour wheel theory of love - Wikipedia)

Anyway, I hate it when people get so overly bitter about Valentines Day. Does their happiness REALLY depend on others’ so much that it’s affected by others’ relationships? I mean, seriously, who the hell CARES if someone else is in a relationship? That doesn’t affect YOU at all. Let them be happy.

I concede that the holiday is largely monopolized by the greeting card industry, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that that’s what the holiday has to be about. See the sentiment beyond the consumerism; look at the day for what it’s supposed to be: a time to celebrate those people you cherish (family, friends, lovers, boy/girlfriends, whoever). Even if I were single, I’d be more annoyed by the cynics than by the sappy couples, because they’re totally missing the point of the holiday due to self-absorbed, self-pitying bitterness.

P.S. Although, I do enjoy the alternate nomenclature for Valentines Day (Singles Awareness Day: SAD). It’s amusing XD.

Optimistic romantic, out!

That’s bull, John Lennon’s was first (right after the event, 1972) and far better. U2 should have had a more original song title.

My guess is ~3-6¢.

I was going to have a Skype date with my long-distance boyfriend, but I was too sick to talk so that didn’t happen. Also considered seeing No Strings Attached with a girlfriend but I was sick/she got offered a job on the spot and couldn’t. My bf gave me his gift (a book called Men>Women, lol) the last time I visited him; I didn’t get him anything because the last time I visited was his birthday and we celebrated that.

^How do you manage having a long distance relationship? Just doesn’t seem like something I could handle…(Not trying to hate on the idea, just curious)
