I don’t know if that is obsessed or psychotic…

lol ok maybe im exaggerating but you get the drift, i really like UVA

Don’t we all… As much as I’m anticipating the decision day, I’m also dreading it. Just one more college I can’t attend.

@UVAorBust I’m also trying to go into D-Day (lol) thinking that I’ll get rejected, but I can’t convince my mind to think that even though it’s the truth. Dont know if that made sense to you. But yeah UVA is my first choice.

Song wise I’m trying to think of a song that I like but isn’t a favorite or extremely popular so that I won’t be reminded of it too often afterwords.

Dean J,

Thanks for all the work you do to keep students and parents informed. My D applied to UVa and no matter what is the eventual outcome, your sage advice has helped me and others thru this unwieldly process. If your being helpful, thoughtful and considerate can be “slick” marketing I wish there was more of it in the college community.

All the best

Regarding the UVa admission/rejection letters:
Well, I got mine via e-mail several days ago and it has a link to your UVa application account where you see your acceptance status. After that you are supposed to wait for the actual envelope if you were offered admission.

@turbozaek, how did you get an admissions decision a few days ago?

That makes no sense what so ever.

Paper doesn’t refuse ink, folks.

With the exception of the QuestBridge kids, we haven’t admitted anyone. No one can see a decision online because we don’t have any decisions yet!

The only email we’ve sent lately was to prompt those who never logged into SIS to do that so they would be able to view their decisions on notification day.

Maybe I did because (and I am sorry I forgot to mention that) I applied for a graduate program, not an undergrad one. Sorry about that but at first I did not realize those might differ in timing.

I’m kind of in a rush right now so I did not get to read every post in this thread. However, with regards to the calls, I feel really bad that I’ve missed my caller twice. The first time I wasn’t home and my dad answered and gave them a “good time to call back”. But, unfortunately, that time was while I was on my trip to UVA (which just ended and I’m in love
). Is there a way I can call THEM and apologize and talk to them? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Why don’t you call the admission office of the dept./school you are applying to? The very worst that can happen is them not being able to help you…although I doubt it and I believe you might not be the first one, so they will know what to do.

P.S. Another option would be - if your phone saves the caller IDs just call the number they’ve called you from back.

turbozaek,
The calls are from the student group The Virginia Society, not admissions.

Congratulations and good luck on your graduate work!

looking very embarrassed…I guess it became quite obvious how new I am to this forum, and most of all - how much I needed to brag about getting in because I hadn’t really had the chance to brag with it to anyone until now. I am really sorry about the confusion.

This process was like a plane from from China to America, But now we are back in America and on the landing strip, pulling up to the airport and waiting for the ramp from the airport to connect to the air plane, 4 weeks guys!

That is quite the analogy bigshot. I’m dying for the decision, but I’m trying to keep my mind off of it. Hoping for a likely letter, but waiting for dissapointment :D.

You (UVAorBust) and I are like the most hard core posters on this forum, the UVA admissions people should contact us and just auto-admitt us for our unwaivered devotion lol!

cough cough* =]

I’m starting to get really scared as the deadline approaches.
I really hope we all get in! What are you guys interested in majoring in?

You freshmen applicants are lucky. Us transfer applicants have to wait until May 1st! Now that’s torture haha. I feel the same way as you, Tangent. Anyways, I want to double major in Computer Science and Italian. How about you?

I really do hope we all get in but one thing i learned is that life is not fair.

I want to major in business so I will be applying to McIntire my 2nd year, but till then I will be at the liberal arts school, but I am also interested in pre-law

you?

I kinda want to me an admissions officer, after going through this process lol
