36 days till decisions

I’m a transfer applicant, and my SIS status just changed to complete  Looks like they’re starting to move toward processing transfer materials!! Good luck everyone!

Way to go brishe! I’m still hopeful for Friday.

UVAorBust, If you already decided not to go to BC or Mich, may be you should send them a letter to withdraw so that someone else who whats to go there can have your spot.

Can I? How do I go about doing that, because I definitely will!

you go UVAorBust!

The directions were in you acceptance packets, UVAorBust. I agree that once you’ve decided NOT to attend a school it is common courtesy to inform them a.s.a.p. so that they can get a jump start on their final tallies and possibly look at their waitlists.

Look in the packet you received from each school and there should be a notification card. If you do not have one read through the material and see what they tell you do to give them your decision. If there is no card or notification in the packet then email the admissions office and let them know your decision with your full name and the identification/application number they gave you.

Just remember you cannot take it back, once you let them know your acceptance is rescinded. So always be 100% sure of your decision.

Do you think emailing or calling would suffice?

Here is your answer.

To be honest, I think withdrawing at this time wouldn’t even make a difference (in thinking that they would give your spot to someone else)… I would just keep it there and maybe if they have any leftover scholarships after they release admissions they may still award you. So while the idea of withdrawing is benevolent, I think it would be in your best interest just to keep them there at the point in time.

Now that I think back, BC is done online in their portal.

Again, remember you cannot take it back once it is done. In all honesty, I would wait until all decisions are in and then let the schools know of your decision.

I am going to do us all a favor and knock off a week of waiting, " you can thank me and oh my goodness your welcome, your welcome" (Drake). Let’s all make a inference and say decision are going to be released the 25th (next Friday), we now have 9 more days to wait.

We can make this assumption based on past years and even if we are wrong, that Friday we know for sure we have 7 days left.

^^^^… and the anxiety goes through the roof.

Make sure you guys have all your college log in user names and passwords ready, for when April 1st or March 25th rolls around ! Unless they email the decision directly to us…

Good Luck all

7 or 14 days left, We are now walking up the ramp from the airplane to the airport ( in continuation of my extended metaphor of the college process being like a plane flight from China to America)

We only post decisions online, though Echols has emailed their invitations, so I’m not saying you should ignore your email!

There are over 2,000 students who haven’t logged into SIS…but I have a feeling they aren’t on this website. We’ll probably email those people a third and final time about logging in the next week or so.

Echols HAS or Echols WILL, Dean J?

I guess those are the kids who don’t really care about UVA :S

Sigh, I can’t get UVA off of the mind. I’m so ready to start, and if accepted, I will definitely be signing up for the summer session…

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with that song

MyPageWontLoad - I’m going to just throw this out there and say the invitations to Echols are sent after the acceptance date. This is based on two things I’ve seen. First, no one on this site has posted anything about receiving an Echols email. And Secondly, I read a post earlier by a parent that her DS received an email AFTER he was accepted.

However, from what Dean J posted, it seems as if the emails have already been sent out.

Again, remember, I’m just making an inference.

No, no. Echols notifications have not been made. I post on the blog about that.

The Echols folks try to get their notifications out around the same time as decisions are released.

That is the answer I was hoping for :D

Thanks for the quick response Dean J
