Tolly stole this from other peeps, but thought Stanford could do it best. Please don’t do all 5 Korn songs or all 5 from some obscure Yugoslavian pianist.

Sweet idea! I totally love Sigur Ros, by the way.
These are five that I really like right now, but by no means are they are representation of my taste.

One Moment in Time- Whitney Houston (don’t laugh. its all about the Olympics which I love) Plus kind of sets me in a dreamer mood whilst waiting for Dec 15.

mistermax!! that kings of convenience song (the original) is almost my favorite thing ever. and i love heart it races (and all things architecture in helsinki)!

i am seeing bloc party the day after EA decisions come in, so i will either be a downer or the craziest person at the show. and that architecture song is so trippy i love it

hopefulhearted - indeed, KoC = beautiful music… I actually like the remix better than the original, though both are AMAZING, I admit. Nice pick for Sea Legs, too! Btw, if you ever randomly get the chance to see Architecture, take it. They are the weirdest coolest live experience. So are the other people that go…haha.

brendanww - SIGUR ROS. Wowww I am thankful to have lived on earth at the same time they have graced it with their music. Yes.

huliaj - I think I’m going on the 15th!! soo…yeah. weird! haha

To whomever is going to the Bloc Party show, I saw them at the Chicago House of Blues this past summer (for their post-lolla gig), and it was an amazing show! However, I do have some advice. I brought a sign into the venue that said, “Play Blue Light Please!” and the band changed the set list impromptu after noticing the sign and played the song. So if you have a particular favorite that you want played, the band is gracious when it comes to requests :P

Oohh. I am absolutely doing that. Blue Light = their best song.
Me and all you people need to go to Stanford so we can just swap music and wallow in the goodness of each other’s itunes libraries. Maybe start a band or two.

i am so amped on seeing bloc party and all i hear are good things about their live shows! whatd you guys think of intimacy? i was rather disappointed

lets all pray that we get into stanford so we can bathe in musical orgasmic pleasure

Mistermax, it’s threads like these that are going to crush my spirits when I get reject from Stanford I love meeting people that share my love for bands like Sigur Ros and Bloc Party.

llpitch, did you get coldplay’s new EP yet? It’s pretty good, especially Glass of Water, which, despite what the title may lead you to think, is one hell of a rocker.

edit: huliaj, I think their first album had the best individual tracks. A Weekend in the City worked the best as a cohesive album. And I think Intimacy really mixed up the strengths of the previous two albums. You can listen to Intimacy from start to finish and pick out a few favorites. The song ‘signs’ made the album for me. I think ‘Ares’ will be a great song live. There were a few ‘meh’ songs, but for the most part the album has grown on me.

Yeah brendanww I hear ya fingers crossed for everyone though!! And that EP was pretty good - I really liked Rainy Day and Prospect’s March/Poppyfields. Not a humongous fan of the random rap bits though. And I must now throw something out there - to what I hope and presume will be monstrous jealousy - that on Tuesday I saw Coldplay for the third time twas rad.
