50 Most Beautiful Colleges in the Fall

Fall is my favorite season, and I was happy to run across this gorgeous college ranking. Also happy that both my alma mater and D’s made the top 10. :-)

Finally, a useful college ranking! Happy that both alma maters of the Bunsen clan made the list. :)

They are really beautiful. Our west coast colleges pale. But we are probably very competitive in the warmest colleges in the winter ranking. :)

I love fall too!! Those are some gorgeous pics and a fun and pleasant ranking :-* .

My alma mater did not make it , but S2’s school certainly did! His school is stunning year-round but it is a truly special place in the fall.

Isn’t just about any college with a couple of old buildings, brick walkways, a water feature and lots of trees gorgeous in the fall?! Loved looking at these but being honest, most every campus I have visited looks AMAZING in the fall! Hence, all the brochures with fall photos on them!

UW-Madison is listed, as I’d expect, but it is spelled Lake Monona, not Lake Manona.

My alma mater, DH’s alma mater, my home town university, DH’s home town university, niece’s university, and the university where I got a 120 hour certificate all made the list. DS and nephew did not. Next they should list the universities that look good in the dead of winter!

My school did as did my kid’s. H was shut out.

“They are really beautiful. Our west coast colleges pale”

Well, University of Washington did get rated #5, so that’s not too shabby. I think it is the most beautiful when the cherry blossoms come out.

Me too, busdriver. April on the quad is breathtaking.

U-Dub’s quad also made this list:

All three of my kid’s schools made the list. ( as did my undergraduate school). They better be beautiful for what they charge. Haha. Were there any state schools on the list?

Yes – Michigan, Michigan State, Maine…

University of Washington.

While not in the US, McGill University in Montreal:

Um yeah.
It’s -6F in Montreal, while at 9pm, it is 52f in Seattle.

UDub still has an awful problem with English ivy, but it often makes the top ten of beautiful campuses.
Well deserved, but it is also fairly hard to find an unattractive campus in the northwest.

What is most striking to me visiting any college campus is the ages of the students…they never get older…they’re always about 18-23. Campus buildings get older each new school year, as do the professors, trees on campus, visiting alumni…but the students are all young and beautiful. College campuses must all have fountains of youth like Ponce Deleon once searched for. :)

Surprised USMA (West Point) isn’t on the list.
