6 yr old boy in balloon...so scary

Toledo, Yep, that is why the sheriffs are back now interviewing them again. I bet the sheriff has been inundated with youtube links even the one where the father questions if Hillary is a REPTILEAN…you read it right, a REPTILEAN!

MY bet, these parents are going to be lucky to walk out with out a fine and having social workers to be involved for the next yr in the best scenario. Worst, they maybe charged with criminal charges, fined millions and the children removed.

If this isn’t proof of a hoax, I don’t know what is!

I just saw this on Drudge, these are people who believe that are descendents of Aliens, and on top of that they are proud to be on the second time…I guess they didn’t realize to be picked out of 198 families, is an insult saying you were the absolute weirdest!
You tube is against TOS, so go to www.drudgereport.com and link onto the video

And so the story goes…

[Heene Family’s Reality Is TV | TMZ.com](Heene Family's Reality Is TV)

Yes, I saw that footage too where the Dad appears to release the balloon and is yelling (?) at his wife. I thought, “huh?!”

Wait a sec - The video of the balloon launch. Do we know that was the recent launch of the runaway balloon with kid supposedly inside televised worldwide?? That video could have been shot weeks ago. However, I am convinced the whole thing was a hoax, and I am especially annoyed with the media for not being a little more skeptical. Even now it seems to me the media is too embarrassed at being duped to admit it. They are more thrilled that their ratings are high from covering this ridiculous story.

To me the whole thing is so clearly a hoax! These folks want to be on TV, they want their own show, they crave attention. This is just the way to get it. And it is working.

Recently, the father tried to pitch a “reality show” based on the family to TLC and TLC wasn’t interested. I wouldn’t put it passed this kook of a father to pull this stunt for publicity.

I just looked at the videos again and they’re all wearing the same clothing so I believe the launch must have been that same day (or they never change their clothes, which could be a possibility, too  )

Breaking News: FOX News is reporting that charges will be filed.

CNN is now reporting that charges will be filed.

Update: Press conference today. It was all a scam. The family spent 2 weeks prior setting up the event. They all lied and even the kids were in on the scam.

Charges that they are recommending:
-Conspiracy
-Contributing to the deliquency of a minor
-False Reporting
-Attempting to influence a civil servant

They are also being investigated by child protective services. IMHO ALL parents dragging their kids into reality television are suspect and should be investigated.

I am in the process of planning a video… it involves my dog, some helium filled balloons tied to an open house sign, a small stuffed animal that looks like my dog. Currently recruiting my neighbor’s 6 yr old son for a small bit part.

H was really upset that his favorite Fareed Zakaria show on CNN was postponed so the pressconference could be aired! CNBC estimated that the 2 hr long covereage of the flight resulted in millions of $$ in lost productivity.

Don’t do it Njres…Take Wolfe Blitzer and a couple of milkbones…next thing you know, the pooch spills his guts on CNN.

Here’s one story: [Colorado sheriff: Runaway balloon saga was hoax](http://www.statesman.com/news/content/shared-gen/ap/National/US_Balloon_Boy.html)

About 1/2 way through the flight, one expert said that he didn’t think anybody was inside the balloon, based on the tilt during flight. It was unstable. I began to think he was right, and then began to think that anybody that flew such balloons would be able to tell whether something relatively heavy was inside or not, based on flight characteristics. So these doubts kept me from being fully invested in the story.

But I never thought it was a hoax - that seemed too nutty to conceive.

Did you catch the bit about how the couple met in acting school?

Add to all the expenses incurred by this hoax the poor farmer whose crop was destroyed when the balloon landed in the field and all the rescue vehicles drove over it thinking the boy was inside. That was his paycheck for the growing season - pay him back first!

Hmm… I smell the hit Halloween costumes of the season: Balloon Boy & the crazy Heene Family.

I am glad this happened so that these children will get away from the crazy parent(s).That sort of parent is so devastating for a child - angry, egotistical and arrogant. He claims to be an inventor and propagates his nutty theories as though no one could see through his preposterous claims. It’s grandiose thinking in a society that lets parents raise their children on their own terms, without any regard for whether there is mental illness driving the family dynamic. I am glad he got himself caught, and I hope those kids can recover.
